Poor craftsmanship, tedious assembly, no extra parts. The instructions call for a hammer, but at no point will you use the hammer until the very end when you realize that the desk is terrible and decide to smash it to pieces. I'm exaggerating... slightly. Assembly is a pain since the pieces don't always line up. It's a struggle to put some of the pieces together. Once it's all put together, the desk does not look bad. In the back of your mind, you may feel uneasy about putting a lot of weight on it, though... The desk is rated to hold 60 pounds on the main part and up to 15 pounds on the retractable panel. That actually seems accurate, though I feel that it could handle much more weight if it their quality control was good enough to keep pieces from being ill-fitting.
