This fountain has transformed our smallish patio into a very relaxing area. The water comes up through a hole in the top area as a bubbling fountain with an LED light under it which can be left on or off simply by plugging it in if so desired. Once the top compartment fills with water the water trickles out all four sides in a gentle waterfall sound that is just the right volume. It's made of a stone resin of some sort so it's quite heavy and has already withstood some strong Oklahoma winds without toppling over. The wind occasionally blows small amounts of water off the waterfall when it picks up but winds here are sometimes 20-40 mph so that is to be expected. For a fun effect, we put about 12 drops of blue food coloring into the water and it has a pale ocean blue color which looks beautiful. Overall, we enjoy the fountain a lot and have recommended it to friends.
I have been looking for an outside fountain for a while. This is a good value for the size. I poured a concrete block to set it on so that it would be higher. The light effect on the water is very pretty. Well pleased with this item.
