Awesome audio on great looking frames

Absolutely love the shape of the frames, they fit my head just right. On top of that, the audio is superb considering the sound is coming from tiny speakers near the end of the frame temples. Battery life has been fantastic and they connect to my phone immediately. I don't use indoors because it's audible near you, but outside they're great. Strongly recommend them.

What I Like: Great sound, great functionality, easy to use, high-quality lenses. What I Dislike: Little heavy, little tight, proprietary charging port. Summary: I have to admit, these shades considerably exceeded my expectations. Bose is well-known for quality audio, but I still had a lot of reservations because when it comes to packing a product into another product, it always seems compromise becomes a running theme. Luckily, that's not the case here. The audio quality is everything I've come to expect from Bose, and as sunglasses, these perform admirably. I love being able to hear my phone and still be aware of my surroundings. Better yet, these sync beautifully with my iPhone, with well-thought-out and highly responsive controls built in. There's an app to guide you through setup and controls, so that process was a breeze. The frames themselves look better in real life than in the product photos, in my opinion. I thought they looked a little chunky in the photos, but they look pretty natural in person. They're also pretty comfortable, though they're heavier and perhaps a bit tighter than the sunglasses I'm used to. For comparison, I typically wear some lightweight aviators, and I have a large head (hat size 7 3/4). The charging port is a mixed blessing to me - it's magnetic, which is great, but it's a proprietary connection, so it's yet another cable I can't afford to lose. I've been wearing these to walk the dog, for which they're fantastic. They connect almost as quickly as plugging in regular headphones, there are no wires, and they cover my eyes. Most impressive, they're loud enough to be heard very clearly, but focused enough that my wife doesn't hear what I'm listening to while she's walking with me. I personally love that privacy, but a cool idea for a future version might be to include outward-facing speakers so you can share the music if desired. I'm also probably going to have to buy my wife a pair, so being able to share audio between units would be a nice touch too. Overall, I'm very impressed with this product, and definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to take their audio wherever they wear sunglasses. They're perfect for the beach.

This review is for the Bose Audio Frames Tenor Sunglasses. These glasses do not disappoint. Out of the box, they come with a nice hard case and look great. These glasses are a fixed size and being an adult male they happen to fit me beautifully so keep in mind if you’re on the smaller size they probably won’t fit very snug. Being Bose, you expect quality sound and these glasses deliver. The sound is impressive. Crystal clear sound is delivered very comfortably just in front of your ears for beautiful stereo sound while still allowing you to hear what’s going on around you. At full volume, they make a little sound that the person next to you might be able to make out what you’re listening to and you can just hear their voice as if you’re in a room with surround speakers. With the built-in microphone you can take incoming calls and the sound quality is amazing. If you’re just wearing them to receive calls, these are very comfortable all day long and if you keep incoming call volume down, you can keep your conversations private. It comes with a magnetic charger cable that you need for these glasses and instructions to set up with a Bose music app. The one year warranty doesn’t cover accidental damage so be careful. At $250 they’re not cheap, but they sure are cool.

Bose has found a way to deliver sound with good clarity without putting something inside your ears. These sunglasses are well built and look good. I am impressed with this new sound technology where this sunglasses does the work of headphones and we can hear songs or take long calls without issues at the same time it does not interrupt nearby sounds. We can still hear things around us. The touch control on right temples works like a charm, it's so easy to reduce volume, answer calls when you are jogging or driving. Connecting the glasses to bluetooth devices is easy. Bose recommends using their app but not needed. It can also be paired like a regular device, but if we use the bose app we can get a quick tutorial there. When the glasses are turned on each time, it reads out the battery level of sunglasses, which device it's connected to which is pretty neat. Its battery is really good. It lasted me for around 4 to 5 hours. It comes with its own charger & a very good hard case to carry your glasses. Just one thing about these glasses is they are one size, I hope Bose gives some room for adjustment so that it can fit for little small faces too. Frame is made of soft material and scratches quickly. This is an exceptional, new concept of listening music, clear, crisp & quality sound.

These are an interesting concept. It's like walking around with your own theme music. You can still be aware of your surroundings while listening to music like you're wearing headphones. The sound isn't bad. But there is zero bass. It's essentially the same speakers you would find in a cell phone. At max volume others around you can hear it. But at lower volumes these are pretty discreet. These aren't ment for people with thicker facial features such as myself. Overall inside frame width is 130mm while the outside frame width is 145mm. These frames are quite thick. The battery lasted about 5ish hours from continuous use. It does use a proprietary charging cable. Would definitely like to see usb-c in the future. One cool feature is that you can swap the lenses. You can even get prescription lenses. You do need to download the bose music app to use these. I really wish these fit my face better. They are super tight and don't sit right. That's no fault of the frames though. The build quality isn't bad. The temples are a bit big but they do house all the hardware. They feel a tad flimsy but they need to be thin to keep them lightweight and thin with the speakers and what not. With all that said, these will not replace your headphones. They are more of an alternative.

When it comes to sound quality, Bose is top tier. These sunglasses are no different These sunglasses come with polarized lenses which offer a great level of UV protection. The case feels premium with a tight magnetic lock. The size is a bit tight, but will fit most people. It comes with a unique USB charger that magnetically locks in place. The only opportunity that I see is the sound volume. I would prefer it to be a bit louder. While on you can hear your surroundings while also listening to music. Set up is easy with Bluetooth capability and calls are clear on both ends.

I’m always looking for different ways of hearing assistance since I have hearing difficulties and don’t like wearing my hearing aids all the time and when I saw the new Bose Frames “Tenor” I had to try them out. Unboxing and setting up: Thee come in a simple Bose labeled box, and inside is a very sturdy case with the Tenors inside. Along with them is a proprietary USB charging cable, cleaning cloth and literature. After taking them out of the case I hooked up the charging cable to my universal multiport charger and let them charge. The charging cable has a simple magnetically attached end, so there’s no worry about wear and tear on a USB port. There’s also a small LED next to the charging pins showing charging status. Once the light quit blinking and the Frames were charged up I installed the Bose Music app from the Google app store and went through the on screen setup instructions. There’s a single button on the bottom of the right bow that is multifunctional and is used for turning on/off, pairing, answering / disconnecting calls. They connected to my S20 Ultras bluetooth without a hitch, and were ready to test out. Use: All I can say is WOW, I‘ve never seen or had anything like these. Playing music was nice and clear, much better than I expected. I could easily hear the lyrics even with my hearing difficulties and not wearing my hearing aids. There’s plenty of volume and didn’t need to turn them all the way up either. I also figured that if I can hear this clearly anyone around me could hear it too, wrong; my wife didn’t even know there was sound until she put them on and she was completely blown away how clear they sounded. The sound is actually coming out of the bows, when you look close there are two small grilled slots on the bottom of each bow at the bottom of the bulge, all the sound comes out of there and is directed directly into your ears, no one could hear what I was listening to so it’s very directional and only the user will be the one listening. Now as for weight, these weigh 48.4g “on my scale”, they are a good bit heavier than my normal sunglasses that have glass lenses and they come in at 31g and my wife’s big designer type come in at 35g. While wearing them I really didn’t notice the weight difference though and got use to the extra bulk very quickly. The extra weight is in the bows and not on the front fortunately and is easy to handle without putting extra weight on your nose. Thoughts: I really like these new Bose Frames “Tenors” they remind me or Ray Bans and are very comfortable to wear. I did end up putting some stick on silicone nose pads on them as the nose piece “for me” is very slippery, but no issues after putting on the nose pads. The included USB charging cable is only 22” long, way too short to me, I’ve since attached a 3’ USB extension cable , it would have been better if it were 3-4’ already, but easily remedied with an extension cable. I also tried charging them with a portable battery pack and that worked flawlessly and the short cable was handy using that method. For functionality as sunglasses they work quite well, the dark grey lenses block out plenty of light, while they aren’t as dark as my regular sunglasses they are plenty dark for daily use in full sun. These also have polarized lenses and really help cut down on glare. I know the lenses are replaceable and I hope they make some computer viewing lenses for these, as I’d happily use them indoors while sitting at my computer. It would be interesting to try some computer gaming with these, although while the mid and low ranges sound great there’s really not much for base, “understandable due to the design”. You can actually feel the bows vibrate from base, but it doesn’t come across that good into the sides of your head. And a set of computer viewing lenses would be great. I’ve also used them a few times to take calls; it’s almost strange being able to hear/talk to someone without something being stuck in or over my ears. Calls are all clear and everyone on the other end could hear me perfectly. A quick press on the multifunction button answers and disconnects calls with ease. The Bluetooth range is really good, I easily walked 20-25’ away from my phone without any distortion or disconnects, I did try it a lot further, around 50’ going outside and leaving my phone indoors and they started breaking up during a call but never disconnected so I’m plenty happy with the range. Battery life has been good so far, I’ve had them running for 2 hours playing music without a problem. I haven’t tested how long a full charge will last but a couple hours is more than I usually listen to music anyway and these are very simple to charge up in between use. Overall if you are looking for a great way to protect your eyes and listen to music and take calls with an all in one solution these are great. While they are pretty large and a little heavier than regular sunglasses you are only dealing with one thing. And the sound quality coming out of these well make them worth having, “they are just amazing”.

First of all, lets talk sound quality. The sound quality of these glasses is amazing. Loud enough to hear bit not enough to impede your surroundings. Secondly they are very stylish. This glasses have made my morning drive more pleasant and safer. The first time I put them on, I could already tell the high quality of the lenses. They are scratch resistant and the lenses are also replaceable. The battery charge capacity is great. I went a few days before it I had to recharge them. Between my daily commute (avg. 3hrs round trip) I had them on either listening to music (full volume) or talking on the phone and I had only used about 10% charge. The charger is not your typical plug in but rather a magnet, just hold enough to the charging port and it'll stick. Lastly, the though of the touch volume controls is amazing, you have everything at your finger tips. With all that being said, there are a few items I believe could be of improvement. One, they are a bit on the heavier side compared to your standard glasses, it may take a little bit of time to get used to it. Two, they only make it as a one size type, so in my case they fitted a bit tight even though they felt better after a few days of use. Three, sometimes i find it a little difficult to find the tough controls on the side. Three, I wish the charger was a bit longer and that it had a carrying case. I travel quite a few so I need to carry the charger inside the carrying case and sometimes when i take the glasses out, I drop the charger out or they get stuck due to the magnet. Overall though, they are amazing, stylish, amd convenient. Im super happy to have them.

Cool glasses for casual music enjoyment
(4)
Reviewed in the USA on 2020-11-15T16:00:00

These are cool glasses that are convenient for casual music listening. They do not provide the sound quality of Bose headphones, or any headphones or earbuds. But I didn't expect them to be like headphones or earbuds. If you are expecting that kind of sound quality then these sunglasses may not be for you. These are great glasses for walking or running. You don't have to worry about an earbud falling out and getting lost. You can also hear your surroundings. Wearing headphones or earbuds to listen to music while out for a walk has always been a concern for me when walking down a street or sidewalk. These glasses allow you to listen to music while also hearing your surroundings for safety purposes. I also enjoy the phone feature. The glasses ring with the ringtone on your phone and announce who is calling. People I've talked to while using the glasses could easily hear me. When you hang up the music automatically continues. The main problem I have with the glasses is that they are a tight fit. I have a wide face so this is a problem I've had before with sunglasses. If you know you have a wide face and sometimes have trouble finding sunglasses that fit, these sunglasses may not be for you.

Really cool glasses, but not sure if useful.

Reviewed in the USA on 2020-11-08T16:00:00

These are well built frames, good quality lenses and overall a really neat pair of glasses. Speakers are quite competent and produce rich sound for the wearer while being barely audible to those around (sound passes through your jaw into the ear). They connect easily via bluetooth and work well for audio books, music and phone calls. They come with a nice trapezoidal hard-sided case and a USB to magnetic charging wire. Battery life is good - one charge lasts longer than I tend to wear them at any given stretch. And, there's the rub. While these are neat glasses, I struggle to find their utility. There isn't a use-case in my life where I would want to both focus on my phone or computer *and* wear sunglasses during that time. Headphones or earbuds just work better for my purposes. I tend to wear sunglasses while driving or out of the house for social/sports reasons. I supposes if your life or profession has you working/walking outside for an extended period of time without interacting with other people - these are a great option for you!
