[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my Bose Soundbar 700 for almost a year and am still in love with it. All the latest connectivity, it now has Google Assistant support, an excellent truly universal remote, is aesthetically beautiful, and most importantly absolutely astonishing sound. There is no way I could be more pleased with this product. This is my main sound system for my living room TV. I also have a Solo 5 which is great, but further emphasizes just how incredible the SB700 is. It can handle any volume and maintains crystal clear clarity. I would highly recommend pairing it with either of the Base Modules (500 & 700 work with the SB700), but even on its own it has a surprising amount of bass with some tweaking of settings in the Bose app. You won't feel the bass with just the Soundbar, but it does have depth on its own. Bose has never steered me wrong, and the Soundbar 700 continues that legacy. Definitely expensive, but you get what you pay for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my journey to give my house a smart device upgrade wherever possible. I decided to get a set of smart Soundbar and bass module. I went to local electronics store and tried out various Soundbars to see how well or bad they sounded. I have admit that I went with a little bias towards another brand after hearing it at a friend's place. But when I tried Bose Soundbar 700, I was blown away with the sound, looks and build quality. It was like love at first sight. I increased the volume a lot higher than normal and the sound was still crystal clear. I realized that this Soundbar would perfectly compliment my 65-inch TV. Now after a few weeks of usage (or after the break-in period as some may call it), here is how I feel about this product and its features: Packaging & Box Contents The Soundbar is shipped in a very secure and sturdy box. The packing is neat with enough cushioning to prevent it from any accidental breakage. The packaging itself is a great reflection of the quality of the product and reputation of the company. Once unwrapped, you will see a great looking Soundbar with tempered glass top. The Soundbar speakers are covered with a black metal grill all around giving the product a nice seamless look. Whatever anyone has ever envisioned for a Soundbar, this one will cross the expectations. Other than a beautiful Soundbar in the box, you will also get a Power cord, HDMI Cable, Universal Remote with 4 Batteries, AdaptIQ Headset with a very long cord, optical cable, Cleaning cloth and instruction/safety booklet. Set Up The Soundbar set up is very easy and is driven through the Bose Music App. Once you connect to the power supply and place it at your desired location, you can download the app and the app will guide you step by step with single operation on every screen right from connecting the Soundbar to wifi (or you can have wired connection) to connecting with your TV. The app also lets you control bass, treble and center channel to tune the sound to your taste. The universal remote is a little too big and bulky compared to my Samsung TV remote. I am not a fan of this Bose remote so I did not set it up with my TV and still use the original TV remote. The AdaptIQ calibration was easy, it is important to limit the external noise and movement of your head (while wearing the AdaptIQ device) as much as possible for perfect calibration. Post-calibration the sound will nicely fill up the area covered during calibration process. The Soundbar I received required an update which happened automatically while setting it up through the Bose music app, the subtle white light bar in the upper left corner will flash (left through right) while the update is being performed. Sound The soundbar has great immersive sound. The AdaptIQ calibration will set soft boundaries for the sound and you will be able to feel the difference within and outside those boundaries. The surround effect created by the Soundbar is also immaculate and produces very clear dialogues. Sound and effects reproduction is very crisp, right from the chirping of the birds to rustling of the leaves. Every single sound frequency is reproduces very clearly. I have attached a Bass module with this Soundbar to give it a fuller in-depth effect and if you add a couple of back speakers (all this can be added and calibrated through the Bose music app). This Soundbar can be perfectly complimented with a pair back speakers to give it more surreal surround effect. I did not feel the need of front speaker. Overall, I have been very impressed with this Soundbar and every music node or sound coming out of the TV is much better. It definitely adds a punch to the movies, sports, games or whatever you are watching. Aside from the sound, the stunning looks of this Soundbar definitely grabs a lot of attention. Strongly recommend to buy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Bose 700 soundbar and sub set up was easy. The open floor plan of our house does not really allow for a set of rear speakers. That left me wondering if the soundbar could really deliver the goods from an sound management point of view. After setting up the sound field with adaptiq, all I can say is: WOW. The true test for me are movies like Top Gun or The Matrix. Planes and bullets are flying from all directions. I'm still fine tuning and trying to get all functions to run from one remote. That's been the only wonky part. The voice assistant feature (we use Alexa) is very slick.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This will blow you away once you set it up. I was seconds away from returning this unit. As a last resort, I connected the Ethernet cable from my Surfboard satellite router. All of a sudden, a new world emerged. From what I've gathered, every unit needs an update. Update doesn't know when to end, so give it an hour or two. Then factory reset unit. I laughed at what all of the lights on the unit mean. It's best to download and print the owners manual so you can easily turn the pages and see what these lights mean. When you see a white light streaming left to right you're ready to get the ball rolling. I repeat, plug in an Ethernet cable from your modem or a satellite router, your troubles will be over. I also added the 700 subwoofer and I can easily say they are worth every penny. After setting up, I unplugged the Ethernet cord and my whole world crumbled. This unit will not work for me unless it is hardwired into my internet. The sound from this system is incredible. It is bar none, the best sounding product on the market. This will change the way you watch TV, movies and listen to music. The thump is over the top, without interfering with or distorting the sound from the sound bar. I'm moving toward the whole house set up and also my pool area. I will be purchasing rear speakers for total surround. The learning curve is high for this product, but your time invested in set up will pay off in years of enjoyment.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A few weeks ago I visited a local electronics store and demoed the Bose SoundBar 700. I stood in awe as the music played with the volume cranked up very loud. People in that section of the store turned their heads and stared when a fellow customer walked up next to me and began to exclaim “Oh my goodness!” over and over again. The stranger stood there with me for several minutes as we both gawked at this Bose home theatre system. He joked that we could split the cost and I could have the SoundBar on weekends! I am not sure if that man ever made the purchase, but here I am a few weeks latter and I find myself a proud owner of the Bose SoundBar 300 with the bass module. I wanted to take the time to review the system thoroughly simply because I love good sound and am very particular about my home theatre. So, here are some thoughts of my experience with the 700 so far… SOUND The sound is very spacious for a sound bar. Seriously, we have a large(ish) living room and the sound spreads out WIDE! We can hear sounds eight feet from either direction of the actual bar. It is uncanny how well this simulates the left and right surround channels where there are no physical speakers. The quality of the sound is also very CRISP and detailed. Every frequency is well represented and you will hear details of your favorite movies or music that you likely never new were there. On the downside, the sound is a little too crisp to my taste. I suspect that the sound system is tuned purposefully tilted towards clarity, but I prefer just a tad more warmth. Don't get me wrong, this Bose is still very rich and meaty and I am getting used to it. It is just leans towards being just a minute bit sterile. Still, this iBose is much better than the overly muddy sound signature that most other home theatre systems produce. The bass is very good on its on, but when you add the Bass Module it tightens up quite a bit. The bass is very CLEAN and powerful enough to feel it in your chest. Whatever Bose does with their Quiet Port technology - it works. I have never owned a sub near this size that is so distortion free yet powerful. Very great! REMOTE Bose has debuted a new very unique universal remote with the 700. The uniqueness is found in the fact that the buttons selectively light up so that you see only the buttons that you need for any particular source. When I press the source button programed for my tv, only the needed tv buttons light up. I used the app to also program the remote to control my Apple TV. When I press that source button, the lights change so that I am seeing only the few controls that I need for the Apple TV. Really cool! I also love that the remote is programmed through the Bose Music app on my phone. Gone are the days of pressing a complicated sequence of remote buttons to program it to work with other devices. I just followed instructions on the app and it automatically programed the remote to control all my devices. MICROPHONES The 700 comes with Alexa built in and I read somewhere that Bose will add other voice assistants in time. I will not be going into detail about Alexa, but I wanted to mention the SoundBar's ability to hear and recognize voice. Wow, is it GREAT! Alexa can hear me and correctly understand me almost every single time. The other day we were watching a family movie and had the volume cranked up to high movie theatre levels. My son used a normal voice to say, “Alexa” and immediately the movie volume softened and Alexa responded. This is the norm with this sound bar! The 700 hears us from anywhere in our large living area and she often even hears us from the other room. So yes, the microphones are fantastic. Another great aspect about the microphones is that they can be turned off. I trust Bose and Alexa to keep our privacy, but there are times when I prefer there not to be an internet connected device always listening in the room. This is the first smart speaker we have ever owned where you can turn off the microphones by a simple touch on the device. Thank you Bose! CONCLUSION There is much more to be said about the Bose SoundBar 700. The AdaptIQ was easy to use and calibrated the sound nicely to our room. The subtle light bar on the speaker is innovative and a useful way to tell what the bar is doing. The lighter is not intrusive. The genius is in its subtlety. The wifi connection has been very consistent for us. It has never dropped and it even automatically reconnected itself after a power outage. The Bose Music App just works and is simple though deep in that you can adjust many settings but only if you want to. In the end, this is the system for us and we look forward to enjoying it for years to come. And, I am so glad I the Bose SoundBar 700 doesn't have to share time between our home and that of the stranger in the store :)

The soundbar 700 gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it even after twelve months. So I am really satisfied with it. We do own Bose products and Apple products. Only trouble we have experienced so far is that after iOS update 13.5.1 AirPlay stopped working on our iPhones and iPads. I have contacted Apple support but they only told me that they are sorry. Can you push them to fix the problem? Thank you for your great work. Keep on making the great stuff. Love it. Jan
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought it a month ago, but just installed it as we were having repairs done to our home after Hurricane Florence.I was somewhat intimidated to start with after reading some of the issues some folks have had installing. So far it has been mostly issue free. The unit, once connected to the home network proceeded to update itself. It took perhaps 15-20 minutes at most. It took a little while to get the hang of programming the remote via the music app, but so far so good. It now controls the TV and the satellite box. I have only set up Pandora for music playing so far, and it works very well. The sound quality is amazing for its size, and tone controls are done through the app. I should add that it came packaged like a Sherman tank, very thorough. I have yet to work on Alexa, and we have an Alexa box in the family room as well, so not sure how that pairing will go yet.
I have this system for more than 2 weeks now. Sound is excellent. Except the remote control. My direct TV remote is sync with my TV, It was set-up when the cable company came to installed my cable 1 year ago. When I activated my bose system, everytime I turn on my bose 700 system, it either turn on-off my TV, big issue for me. Bose recommended not to sync my bose system to TV thru the bose app.—unfortunately IT DIDN'T WORK. I tried to removed my TV to the bose app as well—IT DIDN'T WORK! The bose app. Needs to fix/update this issue.
