I ordered this as a temp set-up for my Ranger for when I work around my property but due to the price I didn't have big exsectations but I installed it and I couldn't be happier. Great volume and good sound with Ipod. I will buy another one for my rock crawler.
excellent and clear sound
Ease of installation. I researched this system for quite awhile before deciding to take the plunge. Sounds good, loud enough to be heard at interstate speeds over loud exhaust.
Larger than expected speakers. Good fit snd sound. Easy to install although the instructions had nothing to go off of. Watched a youtube video and away i went. 70 mph can hear them clear.
Overall the product worked as was expected. I installed the unit in my 2015 Polaris RZR side by side, looks good and sounds great.
Im am very pleased with the MC420B. I installed it on a 2012 Harley Davidson Switchback. The only complaint i would have would be the speaker brackets. Too big for the handle bars with the thin rubber strip and too small for the thick strips. It was a struggle to mount the brackets but after that, it was nothing to install. I mounted the amp inside the headlight cover on the front forks. The sound is good even at 70 with the windshield on. So far (150 miles) no complaints. Well worth the money.
Installation wasn't too bad. The worst wwas mounting the speakers to the bars. I've had these installed for almost 3 months and I commute to work nearly every day, even in the rain. These have held up and performed fantastically. I have had no issues at all. Clear sound, even at highway speeds. Could be just a little louder though. Would definitely recommend.
Not bad... Just purchased a bike that already had this system installed. Easy to use and loud enough going down the road. Aux cord to hook up your pandora... etc. from phone. Seprate volume control... etc. Have had better earth shattering systems before, but this one is easy, affordable, and does the job just fine... better than nothing.
Mediocre at best. You're not going to get any low end out of these. 600 W is really basically a lie. There's absolutely no way a standard motorcycle and battery are going to power 600 W. And there's absolutely no way each speaker is going to be 300 W. I don't have the testing equipment to verify that even the RMS wattage is more than 10 or 15 W. I have the exact same speakers on a fully stock Vulcan 900 with a diehard AGM battery. Even at 55 miles an hour with the phone turned up and the speakers at 100% volume with just a standard brain bucket helmet, you can barely make out what you're listening to. Never mind the shrill treble tone. You're definitely not going to hear anything with a full face helmet. They are waterproof, but boss is not a brand known for its extreme quality. They are, however, waterproof. But again they are not 600 W and anybody that believes that boss can put out that sort of quality is mistaken.
Very hard to put on by yourself
