My son is VERY skinny but tall, and these are the ONLY jeans that fit him well. We only have to take in the adjustable waist on the slim size a little - and in winter we can let it back out to tuck in all the layers. The price can't be beat and he can play rough in these jeans. The style is classic and never out of fashion.
I'm happy that wrangler makes the adjustable waist. (jeans with adjustable waist are very hard to find) I have a 9 year old son who is tall but thin which makes it hard to find jeans that fit right. The adjustable waist band works EXCELLENT for him and has since he was 5 yrs. old. Thanks Wrangler for a GREAT product!!!
Wrangler' Five Star Premium Denim Jeans - Boys' 8-16 Are very durable . They fit great and are always the only jeans I buy for my son. The regular size 16 must be very popular, because I could not find them in any of my local stores, so had to get them on line.
My son is skinny with long legs. It's very difficult to find jeans that fit him. If I get them long enough, they fall off him at the waist. These jeans come in slim AND have the adjust-to-fit waistband so I can get them long enough to fit his legs yet they will still fit his waist. THANK YOU!!!
My 9 year old daughter is VERY SLIM. We can't find any girls jeans that aren't either showing the back of her rear end or the fit is off. She runs and is very active so it is hard to find a jean that fits her well. These jeans even in slim have adjustable waist-which we love, they are durable and a soft jean when you wash and dry, which she really likes. I would recommend for both boys and girls, especially those who prefer just a pair of "normal"jeans.

My son would always hate wearing jeans,but I couldn't find any other pants that would fit him,so I HAD to buy him jeans.He was really upset a first,but the after the first day he wore him I didn't see him complain,now all he wears is jeans,he wears them everywear,all the time.
These “Slim” jeans with an adjustable waste (inside, can't be seen from outside) are perfect for my growing boys. They have long legs but narrow waists and these are the only jeans that fit them well. They hold up pretty well to the constant abuse from our youngest. They will last through at least 6 months of rolling around on the ground and sliding across the floor on his knees (he wants to be a comedic actor and these activities are often part of his skits). The first thing to go is always the knee area (not unexpected) for our youngest. The older boys often outgrow them before they wear out. I ranked it a 4 in “Meets Expectations” because two pair out of the five we ordered were difficult to snap, even for an adult. Through repeated use they have loosened up and are easy to snap now.
These jeans are the only ones that I can find to fit my son who needs the length but is very thin. And with as quickly as he grows, the price is very reasonable. The 12 slims he outgrew look almost as good in most cases as the day I bought them last year - including the color retention on the darker color. The only problem I have ever had with them is the snap. I learned very quickly, when I bought them in the store, to check the snap. Sometimes the snaps do not snap properly. Even I, as an adult, have had difficulty snapping them closed, so I always 'test' the unsnapping and snapping of the jeans. If I have my son with me, I let him do it. Perhaps changing it to a button would alleviate this problem. Having bought 10 pairs of jeans between the two sizes and gone through probably another 5 pairs with snaps that just wouldn't close or were just so difficult to close.
The snaps on these jeans are very difficult to fasten. The fit is inconsistent. We ordered 3 pair and they all fit differently. The fit of 1 pair was acceptable, but the snap was hard to fasten, so all 3 pairs of jeans are being returned. With minor improvements, these jeans would be a great value for a growing boy.
