I've had these boots for over a very long time now definitely over two years and use them whenever I'm working and casual use if I'm up for it. I've been looking around for new boots and personally none have come close to how great these are. They had their downsides in the beginning but after awhile they become perfect. Perfect enough that when the sole was coming off a little I went and bought gorrila glue to fix em right back up. Honestly amazing boots for the price.
My husband is a production welder, needs to wear steel toed boots and has worn these boots for over a year with no problem. He's tried other Brahma boots, but these boots wear the longest of them all. He usually goes through 2 pairs in a year, but not these. They're holding up better and they're more comfortable than the "heavier" steel toes he's had. Will buy again!!!
These are really outstanding boots for law enforcement or the military look. They are very well made, and fit my extra wide feet perfectly. Just the right weight and look sharp. Should be a $80 boot, easily. BUT THEY WILL RUB YOUR ANKLES RAW until you break them in. So wear a couple pairs of socks until they are comfortable ~and save a bundle.
I have had a pair of these boots for about two years, and for the sole purpose for which I use them, they are, indeed, a good shoe and a great value. It should be obvious to most that $30 shoes are not possibly going to provide the support and comfort required of all-day standing and work. However, as a motorcyclist, I am sitting most of the time and seek protection above walking/working comfort. In that light, these boots can be highly recommended. Thick or double socks are appropriate in all boots, as they would be here. All-in-all, a lot of boot for the money, but target your expectations according to your intended use.
Ok so I bought these boots for use as an EMT. Admittedly I bought them knowing they weren't a "Swat Boot." I don't know who actually expected to get a Swat Boot from Walmart for $30. But the boots are good. I was hesitant after reading reviews but some of them are just obvious flaws. Again, never seen a SWAT boot for under $100, and someone complained that they aren't water proof. The boots don't claim to be water proof, and if you look at the side, they have cloth, obviously not water proof. Yes there are better boots out there, but not at this price. My only complaint was that the sole admittedly was not comfortable, but that is easily fixed with sole inserts. I went to a dollar store and bought two inserts per boot instead of one and they are great now. $32 dollars for a boot is great so I recommend this boot.
I tried these on in-store, and they seemed okay. Well, I got them home and found they were awful. Painful. I couldn't keep 'em on for more than 10 minutes. I have some big ol' duck feet so I suspect the fault was more my own, than any defect in the boots themselves. I give it 3 stars, for potential, my personal experience was 0 stars. They were nice and wide, but the toe box got uncomfortably small quickly. That wouldn't normally be a problem as I have to break in most shoes in there, but these have that sturdy steel toe. In the end I had to take the boot and jump on the toe to deform it a little wider for my poor big toe. I took it back, as I could never quite get it comfy enough to wear. Once broken in these should be a dream. For someone with smaller toes I imagine these would work beautifully. They could use an insole cushion, but, hey, these boots are dirt cheap
Bought a similar pair of Brahma boots for work. The fit was poor and I had to wear two pair of socks to make them even moderately comfortable. On the up side, the sole of the left boot came off in less than a year and I ended up getting the boots I should have bought the first time. Do yourself a favor and take the money you would spend on these boots and put it towards something better.
This boot is an extremely poor boot for any type of law enforcement, security or military duties. The boot is very heavy and lacks the needed support for standing long periods, walking and don't even try running. They feel like ankle weights!
less then a month both boots has holes on the soles...??? how the ...??? working shoes should be a good quality product... this soles made by some cheap rubber with air bubble inside, you gonna feel it if you push it. another thing: this boot not breathing at all, be ready for wet feet, or wear double socks... don't buy it! add a little bit more dollars and buy some good quality working boots
These boots may LOOK tough, but they are the most uncomfortable article of foot wear I have ever worn. They have no support, don't allow your ankle to move, and are incredibly heavy because of the steel toe. Unless you work on a site that poses a threat of crushing your toes, you should spend a little more on a more comfortable boot. You will be VERY glad you did.
