This is a great epilator. It does a good job at getting the hair in 2-3 passes, and was not nearly as painful as another model that I tried. I'm not sure if it was the Olay wipes that were included or the warm water in the shower (I loved being able to use this in the shower), but it was much less painful this time. It still does sting a bit, but it is tolerable. My legs were only slightly pink and irritated after using the epilator, and this went away quickly leaving my legs smooth much longer than shaving.
I am a first time epilator user, and tried the under arms; I am not going to lie, it didn't feel good. However, I thought it was a much better method than waxing the underarm as it is cleaner and I feel like you can control the amount of pain more. I really like the features on this model, including the cordless, waterproof and the ability to use on multiple areas of the body. It is easy to use and would recommend this if you are considering Epilating or waxing.
I have never used an epilation device before, I have always been afraid of the pain factor. The Epilady of the 1980's was a scary looking thing!!! I finally found the courage to try this model and another Braun model of epilator. I liked this Braun epilator better that the other model I used, Braun Silk-Epil Legs Epilator. This model, Braun Silk-Epil 7181 Epilator can be used on legs, underarms, bikini line and face. It has twice as many tweezers as the Braun Silk-Epil Legs Epilator, so you do not have to go over the area you are epilating as many times. I found that this epliator only takes 2 or 3 sweeps to clear the area of all hair on the gentle mode. However, it is a bit more painful than the legs only model. It is less pain than a tattoo but worse than waxing. The user manual said the first few times will be the most uncomfortable and the most irritating to the skin. After multiple uses it said the pain will be less and you should have no skin irritation. I did get some minor red bumps on my legs and my skin is irritated. The pain was not so bad that I will discontinue using. The manual says your legs will be hairless for 19 days. A little pain and irritation for 19 days is worth it! I like that this model comes with Olay pre epilation wipes, said to help with irritation and pain. I tried on one leg and the other without. I did not notice much of a difference, but they smell nice and make your skin soft. Also included is a drawstring bag to hold the device, charger, cleaner brush and one attachment (to use for more effective epilating after you have become used to the epilation pain). This model has a good light and it has 2 modes, gentle and effective. I only used gentle this being my first time eplilating! It only takes 1 hour to charge and it is cordless and can be used wet or dry. I am very pleased and would recommend to anyone looking for a long lasting hair removal method.
Way better than other similar products. Works great and less paiful. Great features - Massage rollers and light helps a lot.

This is the first time I have tried using an epilator and it works well! Initially I was concerned about the pain of the hair removal process, but it wasn't too bad! On the box, it mentions that there are massage rollers, maybe that's what makes it less painful. This epilator removes hair very effectively, even for short hair (sometimes you may have to run the roller in the same area twice, but that's about it). It comes with cooling wipes to use prior too. My favorite part is that it's cordless and I can use it in the shower! It even has a light which is super helpful when I am in the shower (it serves as a guide to see if I missed any spots). That's definitely a good addition. Note: It doesn't take very long to charge either, which is great. Also as a safely feature, the epilator doesn't work when you are charging it (just in case you are like me and thought I broke it).
Have never owned a product like this but have had a problem with skin infections using a razor. This was easy to use and have used it once and no signs of infection. A little uncomfortable in the beginning but nothing I can't handle.
Love the fact I can use, this one in shower without any trouble. It's so smooth and effective.
Overall it is a good product but the process of shaving is slightly painful especially if you have a dry skin like I do. Comparing to other products I have used it is still the best.
I have been using braun silk_Epil for 14 years and I was happy with it until it stopped working so I ordered this one but the first one was functioning better, it pinched my skin and I turned it off to be able to get my skin off, for under the arm it took forever to clean it completely and left some spot that can not take off the hair, it is more painful than the first one.
