But now cottage cheese is making a comeback, and I've started using it in ways that actually taste good - baked into cheesecakes after pureeing, or blending with strawberries to make a passable strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Mixed with a bag of vanilla jello pudding mix, it almost tastes like cheesecake as well! The 4% milkfat really has a creamy aftertaste which makes me feel satisfied. They quick and easy to eat in the morning for breakfast with apple sauce or peaches, can easily be added to salad to add texture to it or even used in the blender with protein powder to create a creamy protein focused ice cream. Personally there isn't much a difference between the whole fat %4 or 2% cottage cheese so I buy both kinds because they are really yummy and filling.
