quick and easy and what I expected
Works great. Make sure you don't cut yourself after you sharpen your knifes.
If you don't apply heavy pressure, wheel won't stop. I've sharpened 7 knives with great results, if you use a Honing rod after the last grind, you will have a super sharp knife. The secret is light pressure.
Excellent price, arrived quickly.
Shook a little because the motor/grinder was slightly out of balance, but it does a good, quick job sharpening knives.
Don't get me wrong, this is a good sharpener. But sadly it is not for anything eight inches or less in length and no blades less than three or four inches wide. As long as the knife can lay in the guide with out any wobbling it puts a very good sharp edge to the knife. All most as good as my stones do. All most every body uses the point or the tip at the start of every cut. Which means that the point should be the sharpest part of the knife and also the part to have the most attention put forth to sharpening. But to sharpen the points on this sharpener is a real chore to get accomplished, finding it hard to keep from gouging the metal,not keeping a true edge. So if you have very large kitchen knives to sharpen,this sharpener will do a good job on them ( just be sure to take a lot of extra care when you get to the points). Other wise look for different.
The tool motor has about one tenth the power that it needs to work the way it should
Grinding wheel turns a bit slow. Knife may cause wheel to stop. Knife edge does not get quality sharp.
