The center of this beautiful bedspread is pure white. Sometimes materials that are described as white show up a creamy white, a grayish white, etc. this is defiinitely pure white as shown. I was very pleased - the border is beige just as shown and the main center that is white is quilted in small diamond stitches the border is quilted also but in a series of straight line stitches. It falls gracefully to the floor. I have a pillow top mattress and purchased the full size. It reaches easily to the floor and is actually an inch or so longer even with the pillow mattress. It is very long, I pulled it way back at the front of the bed and it falls perfectly to the floor if you like it shorter. The shams are beautiful, also. they have string ties at the back to keep them neat that was a style I had not seen before-the pillows inside the sham stay put and my bedroom now looks like a picture from a classy magazine. Honestly, the best looking bedspread I have ever seen. Also, even though it is quilted, it is not heavy and you can use it as a cover or as a spread over your blanket. I sleep on top of it and use a light throw over me as a blanket because I live in the tropics and it is too hot here for blankets and regular made up beds. In the morning I wake up to an already made up bed as it stays in place. it is washable. Perfect choice, thanks Macy's!
Bought this as a gift for my mom. The spread is soft and looks very durable. I checked the seams and the workmanship. Didn't look as it would fall apart. My mom loves the spread and it looks great. She likes the simple details and the color. Goes very well with her décor. You can't beat the price.
I was disappointed with the bottom corners touching the floor a lot and if you pulled it up to the head of the bed, then it didn't cover the box spring at the foot. Very pretty Quilt and excellent quality. It would be nice if they rounded the corners. I did not want to use bed skirts. This was for adjustable beds. I would still recommend it if you don't mind it touching the floor.
The spread is beautiful and completely covers a queen bed. But it would be hard to maintain. Although it is machine washable, it would need to be washed quite a lot. Because of the weight and size of it, I doubt very much that it would fit in my washer. I had to return it.
I like the quality and feel of this quilt. It is made well and does not feel cheap. The only thing is that we have a queen bed so I ordered a queen but it was way too long. I returned it at Walmart without any trouble except the lines at costumer service and ordered a full. The full fits perfectly.
