I needed a different water filter. I decided to try this Brita. It was a good decision. I decided on the 12 cup model due to my coffee maker. It is a little heavy so i pick it up with both hands. The first step was to clean it. Take your time, and make sure the two gaskets are in place! I filled the pitcher with tap water and placed it in my fridge for a couple of hours. Great tasting water that was better than my previous filter. The next morning I used the water for my coffee maker. My coffee tasted better too. There is a gauge on the lid that measures 3 different filter stages.
I like it, easy pour, %26 it safes me money.
I am very happy with my Brita Stream Filter purchase. Easy to fill and pour and fits well in the refrigerator. Would definitely recommend, and would repurchase same again.
You know the saying " All good things come to those who wait" well this is it. The concept is awesome but the flow is slow. We have a rust and chlorine problem so I use my britas for dog water and coffee maker too but definitely takes time to fill both. So for speed filling this is not for you. But concept is great
I received the Brita Stream Cascade and was pretty happy. I had always wanted one, but never felt the need to indulge. It was super easy to clean and insert the filter. I filled it up and stuck it in the fridge. After a few hours, I poured a glass. First of all, if you are impatient like me, it may take a bit longer to fill a glass, and secondly, if you are also like me and drink a lot of water, the pitcher was almost half empty (or half full depending on perspective) by the time I filled 1 glass. With all of that said, that water was dang good! It was Crystal clear and fresh tasting. I left the remaining water in the fridge for the week just to see, and it tasted just as good and fresh as the first day. Overall, great product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The pitcher is good looking and looks great on any table fits your fridge door easily and can filter iced water Tight seal , the pitcher does not leak no matter how high you tilt it Better than drinking tap water alone (That is if the water in your area has a strong chlorine odor/taste.
A big improvement on my old Brita filter pitcher. Greater capacity and much easier to pour. (Not as easy as the first Brita filter pitcher I had many years ago, but much better than the one I got after that one and have used for quite a while.)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They don't really tell you clearly that this filter only filters chlorine for taste and that is why it is faster. I want more than that from my water filters. Sorry this just isn't for me. I'll wait for better, healthier water.
When we first got this pitcher we were very excited and loved it. However, after the second time of opening the top to refill the pitcher the top piece came off in my hand. The plastic pieces that hold the spring into place were broken and just laying under the lid. So now the top will not stay on at all. We would love to continue using our pitcher that we bought less than a month ago but that doesn't seem possible now. It is really a shame since I bought several replacement filters when I bought the pitcher that I won't be able to use now.
I bought two of these filters within the same week and the lid on both broke. I thought that I accidentally broke the lid the first time so I purchased a second one, but it broke the same way when I simply tried opening it to refill the water. This model of the brita stream pitcher is poorly made.
