Solid Stroller
(5)
Reviewed in the USA on 2018-10-22T17:00:00

I was very excited to receive this stroller for free to review as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. Overall, this is a very solid stroller, and one that will definitely last for years. It reclines nearly all the way, so you could definitely use this for an infant, but it is large enough for a tall toddler. My 14 month old had plenty of room! When I first pulled this stroller out of the box, I was surprised by the cherry red (I have a girl) but my daughter instantly took to it. She anxiously waited as I assembled the stroller. Assembly was a breeze, even with a 14 month old trying to climb into the stroller every couple of seconds. All you have to do is pop the wheels on, and slide the canopy on. As for design, I really like the squared look of the canopy. I thought that was a nice modern touch. Depending on the height of your child, you may need to adjust the strap height. This honestly took me longer than assembling the whole stroller because I had trouble finding the right angle for the straps to come out. Once I found that sweet spot it was no problem. When I first saw the strap adjustment mechanism (a buckle on the back), I thought maybe my daughter would pull on the straps too hard and be able to dislodge it, but once I started working with the straps, I quickly realized there would be absolutely no chance of that! The stroller itself is generally well-designed. I like the 3 wheel design because I find it easier to turn than a 4 wheel stroller. The double front wheel adds a bit of stability for when you go up and down off a sidewalk. The push bar is at a pretty good height, although I do wish it was adjustable. I also like the one hand fold. There's a button to press and then you grab the handle on the seat. I had no trouble doing this while holding my daughter on my opposite hip. The weight of the stroller is reasonable. It's certainly not as lightweight as an umbrella stroller, but it's sturdier, and has a bar that allows you to push with one hand, so I like that better. My absolute favorite feature of this stroller is the built in console. On my other stroller, I had to get an add-on console, which works well but can slide, or gets in the way when I fold the stroller. The built-in console is great for regular use. I live in NYC, so I don't frequently pull my stroller in and out of cars, but the built in console is so much better for that (no risk of losing in a taxi!) and for traveling. The only downside to the console is that it doesn't work very well for a cup of coffee (in a paper cup, like from starbucks). However, if you really need that function, you'll have to buy an add-on console no matter what stroller you decide to buy. The stroller basket capacity is decent. It holds a diaper changer (with wipes and diapers), a fair number of coats, and some library books no problem. My one frustration with the basket is that the sides of the basket are not elastic, and can make it difficult to place bulky items in the basket. I found I only really got frustrated when I needed to place a bag of groceries down below (remember, I live in NYC), so if you don't plan to grocery shop with your stroller, you'd probably be ok. You can always put groceries in via the front access panel, just not the whole paper bag at one time. If you are planning to carry along a big diaper bag, it definitely is not going to fit, but just strap it to the push bar for easy access. Wheels-the hard wheels are pretty smooth, although I generally prefer the air-filled tires. This really only makes a big difference if you're going off-sidewalk with your stroller. I noticed that the stroller came with the car seat adapters. I appreciated this gesture, since it means your stroller can be extra useful when your little one is tiny and you want to wheel them from your apartment to the car without killing your arm, but I didn't personally use them. I just walk or take the Subway in Manhattan. Overall, if you're looking for an easy to fold stroller, that you can use for a while, this is a solid option. So easy to fold!

I love the super easy one-handed fold for the Britax B-Lively stroller. This is particularly helpful as I can hold my 9-month son while still breaking down and putting away the stroller with one hand. It is great to keep in the car for running errands--more sturdy and durable than an umbrella stroller, but it still folds up small and flat. It is roughly the same size as the Uppababy Cruz when it is folded and just as easy to maneuver. Nice sized storage basket and good canopy cover as well. Materials for the B-lively feel a little lighter and less luxurious, but considering it is a third of the price of the Cruz, I am very happy with the quality. Thank you to the weeSpring Parent Panel for the opportunity to review this product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The first thing I loved about this stroller is that it is fairly compact and not too heavy. It took me all of 15 minutes to put together from the time I opened the box to the finish. This stroller is a great size and awesome quality that I will be able to use for years to come with my now 14-month-old daughter. We have taken it on a few adventures with ease including a Target run (the style makes this stroller so easy to move from side to side in cramped aisles while shopping!), for a walk around the lake, and a trip to the Farmer's Market (I was able to hold all of my veggies, meat, and eggs in the stroller seat, on the top, and in the basket while I held the baby!) It does work on slightly bumpy terrain, but I would not do much off roading with this particular style, it is not as smooth of a ride. However, this stroller is crazy smooth on floor and sidewalk surfaces, so easy to push and maneuver! My favorite part of this stroller is probably how easy it is to open and close. I have had strollers that were so hard to open and close that my husband literally gave them away! I love that I can open and close this stroller one-handed while holding the baby AND load it up into the back of my car with ease. There is an option to pair this stroller with a car seat with the included car seat adapters for when babies are tiny, which is definitely something I think about when researching strollers to get the most features with one stroller. I find it very convenient that I can access the bottom basket from both the front and back with ease, and that the basket is a great size for all your baby needs or some light shopping. The seat recline is easy to use when your little needs a nap on the road, I was able to do it with only one hand. Living in sunny California means that the extra large canopy is well used to keep the sun out of my daughters eyes (a major issue I have had with other strollers!) I adore that I can peek in on her through the top with just a lift of a flap -- there is no extra loud velcro on the top that wakes up baby anytime you want to check on them while walking, but the flap is designed well to stay put open or closed. I think my only con is that there are no cup holders. There is a nifty little bag attachment with two deep pockets and a zipper pocket. I find that these pockets are great for my water bottle, but a little worrisome with a hot cup of coffee. Overall, I think this is a really great stroller and would highly recommend it! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this Stroller! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Thank you weespring parent panel for providing us this free product! This is the best stroller we've found! Our son is 15 months old and we are excited that he can grow with it and we won't need to buy another! The one-handed fold design makes travel easy, especially with just one parent. The recline ability worked great when our son was getting tired on our hiking trip. The wheels are sturdy enough for uneven surfaces and great for hiking. The basket underneath is great for storing extra sippy cups and snacks on long days. The zippered front access panel is great to hold cell phones or other electronics and block them from the weather. Comfortable, Convenient, and Versatile

Reviewed in the USA on 2018-10-23T17:00:00

My bottom line on the Britax B-Lively Stroller is that is an excellent choice for anyone who is looking for something that is quick and easy to transport and use for a wide range of activities while offering plenty of storage space and spanning a wide weight and age range (from infant up to 44 inches tall or 55 lbs) for their kiddos! Pushing this stroller feels somewhere between pushing a jogging stroller and traditional full-sized stroller and it is very functional for multiple purposes from city strolling to picnics in the park on less-smooth terrain. Note that the included safety instructions say to NOT use for jogging, but only for walking speed. The B-Lively arrived packaged very efficiently without excess packaging or space in the box for being jostled around during transport. Assembly required just scissors to snip a couple of zip ties that held on protective foam. The only actual assembly necessary was to velcro on the canopy and snap on the wheels, which are ALL (front and back) quick on-off type wheels that you just push into place until they click. They come off just as easily for transporting or storing in tight spaces, though I've not found that necessary as they really aren't positioned in a spot that makes them space-consuming when the stroller is folded up. The front wheel is a smidge harder to remove than the back 2 simply because the buttons you push to release it take a bit more of a squeeze than the back wheels do but it still only takes about 3 seconds total to remove or attach that wheel. If using the stroller in combination with an infant seat there are 2 small receiver pieces that just clip onto the sides of the stroller to cradle the infant seat. Just as quick and easy to attach or remove as the wheels are, though they do not have a dedicated storage compartment anywhere ON the stroller so they would need to be stored somewhere else once the stroller is being used without an infant seat. Also, anyone wishing to use this stroller in conjunction with an infant car seat should note that for infant seats that are not Britax, an infant car seat adapter frame must be used, which is sold separately. For me personally, I typically only use car seats IN the car so having the car seat adaptable (or not) with the stroller wasn't a major issue. When using this stroller my 15 month old is super relaxed! He loves that there is nothing obstructing his view and seems extremely comfortable riding in it. When completely reclined the seat lays *almost* flat, though not quite (see picture). It reclines and goes back up fairly easily by just sliding up or down a little tab along a strap on the back of the stroller and didn't bother my son at all when I adjusted it either way. The canopy can be extended half or all the way and offers excellent coverage when opened all the way. The screen for viewing the baby spans the full width of the canopy so you can actually see your baby when the canopy is open rather than having to try to peek through a super tiny little square of screen. Since the wheels are rubbery and not air-filled the ride seemed slightly less smooth than strollers I've used with air-filled tires but not enough to be a problem at all, in fact, I think my son prefers being able to feel a little bit of jiggle from the ground beneath the tires! I love that I don't have to worry about having a flat tire or having to air up a tire on this stroller, which has happened to me in the past with others. I'm 5'5" and the handle is at a very comfortable height for me to where my arms sit at just over a 90 degree angle at my elbows while pushing the stroller. There are no cup holders for the child or the parent on this stroller which is a bit of a bummer but we typically just have water bottles with us anyway so that wasn't a huge concern for us as there is plenty of space in the basket for those. The brake for locking the stroller in place is just a single pedal which is much more efficient than having to fumble around with one for each wheel. You just step on the pedal and it goes down very smoothly to lock both back wheels, pulls up just as easily to unlock, and holds the stroller tightly in place when down. The stroller turns soo smoothly. It handles best on smooth terrain but we had no problem pushing it through fall leaves or mildly-bumpy grassy areas. The storage basket on the bottom offers plenty of space for an average sized diaper bag as well as a few extras. The front-access for the basket is something I've wished I had in the past and it is so worth having! No more digging everything out of the storage basket to reach whatever was put in the front of it (i.e. always the baby's sippy cup). The hanging zippered pockets by the handle are convenient for keeping a phone, goldfish crumbs, barbie shoes, dog treats, and more close at hand. When you're ready to put the stroller away you simply push in a small button on one side to unlock it then lift the strap handle in the seat of it and the whole thing just pops into a fold. It is incredibly easy and can very literally be done one-handed while holding a toddler in the other arm. It rests partly on the handle when folded so you don't have to worry about locking wheels first to prevent it from rolling away when folded, super handy, though you'll want to be sure to not set in on anything very dirty or wet when folded as it will get the handle icky. All-in-all this is a great, versatile, and sturdily-built stroller that I expect to get years of use out of for my current 15 month old as well as any future littles! Thanks so much to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing this stroller in exchange for my honest review! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great stroller!

I was so happy to get the Britax B-Lively stroller! This stroller is great. It steers very well even if I need to do it one handed. I have pushed a 37 lb 5 year old in it when my baby didn't want to ride and even she fits great in it. My 24 lb 15 month old also fits great and we use the stroller primarily for him. I know I'll be able to use it for years to come with him because of the 55 lb weight limit and it seems very durable. I love the one-hand-fold! It is so easy to fold up, especially when you're waiting for public transportation and you need to fold it very quickly. The only problem is I wish it would stand alone on the ground when folded. Sometimes it does but it's always teetering and then falling. It got a little scratched up on the front because of this. If you're using it primarily in your own car or just strolling your neighborhood this probably wouldn't be an issue for you. We travel a lot with our strollers on public transportation so this is important to me. The basket is also not my favorite. I love that it has the front access panel because this is the only way I can fit anything in it! You can forget about putting a diaper bag or a toddler backpack in the basket from the back because it will not work. I usually just wear our diaper bag the whole time when I use this stroller. However, the basket will hold a lot of you put it in through the front access panel, just not larger bags. It is a shame, though, because the basket is very large, if the seat were up higher you could fit larger bags. Again, if you're not using public transportation and can just go back out to your car to get more items or just walking around the neighborhood then this will not be a problem for you. I love that both of the brakes work by just stepping on one side, this is very convenient! I also like how the seat is easy to recline and put back up by pulling the straps at the back. Overall, this is an awesome stroller that is very sturdy and maneuvers very well and I would definitely recommend it! I received this product from weeSpring Parent Panel. Great compact stroller for getting around town!

The Britax B-Lively stroller is great for urban parents! We walk everywhere in our neighborhood with our 1-year-old and this stroller is awesome in letting us get out of the house quickly. My husband and I can easily hold our baby in one arm and grab the stroller by the handle with the other. My baby is tall but the B-Lively will be useful for years to come because there's lots of legroom and headspace. The full recline with the large sunshade is awesome for getting him to nap as well! This is the third stroller in our collection (full-size, travel, and B-Lively) and I find myself grabbing it the most because it the easiest to use one-handed for quick trips in the neighborhood or for running short errands. It's also easy to throw in our small car for trips to the grandparents. Since it's a travel system, we would have been able to use this since birth if we had a Britax infant car seat. But I do wish that they came with other adapters for other car seats since the stroller is great. Overall, if you're looking for a one and done stroller that is light but still roomy, the Britax B-Lively is it! Thank you weeSpring Parent Panel for the stroller! High quality, easy fold

I was really pleased with the quality of this stroller. The red color is rich and looks great. I could see ua using this stroller for a very long time. The recline feature is really great for running errands at nap time, and the one hand fold is very intuitive to operate and is great when you have you have a baby in one arm and are trying to store the stroller with the other. The stroller is also much lighter and compact than I thought it would be- this has made it the go stroller for our family. The fact that you can put in an infant car seat directly was very important to us with an infant. We purchased our stroller and car seat separately but picked based on compatibility. One unique feature we liked with this stroller was the front panel opening. We used it for easy access items like coats and blankets without having to dig through everything. We have accumulated 4 strollers since our son was born but have found that this one hits a sweet spot between all the others that have made it our go to since we got it. Good choice for an "in between" stroller
(4)
Reviewed in the USA on 2018-10-23T17:00:00

I received this Stroller from the weeSpring Parent Panel to rate and review. Overall, this appears to be a solid choice for a stroller that you could use that is somewhere in between an umbrella stroller and a larger stroller with more bells and whistles. Britax has done a really nice job of making a stroller that is streamlined, attractive, fairly light, and has some nice features. My favorite feature is the one-hand fold. When you are holding a baby in one arm, it's so nice to be able to close the stroller with your other hand. This makes it very convenient for loading it in and out of the car, onto a bus or train, etc. It's lightweight, so it truly is possible to easily carry the stroller with one hand once it's collapsed. I also really like the front access panel for the basket. It makes it easy to access that part of the basket versus pulling everything out or awkwardly reaching in. Finally, the recline was a snap to use; so easy to release and tighten. It is nice that the stroller has a good range for recline to sitting up. There were a few things that were drawbacks, though. First, the handlebar is not adjustable. I am short, and the handle came up to my ribcage, making this uncomfortable to push for a long time. It should also be noted that the wheels are hard plastic, and not rubberized, so definitely not all-terrain. Large cracks in the sidewalk stopped the stroller cold and I had to be careful to navigate these so that my daughter wasn't thrust forward. The basket underneath is quite small and the sides are not very elasticized. It would make it hard to use, for example, if you wanted to do a quick grocery shopping. Overall, compared to other strollers in its class, this seems like an excellent stroller. I think it would be an especially good choice for travel, if you wanted something a little nicer than a classic umbrella stroller, and/or if you needed the benefit of a travel system. Too reclined and slanted baby

I want to love this stroller. I love so many of the features but it just leaves me disappointed. I feel like the seat doesn't sit up straight enough. Even at its highest setting my baby seems too reclined and she is 8 months now. She has also always leaned to the left side in the stroller. It's hard to adjust the seat recline setting and keep the back level. I really loved this when we were using the car seat attached as a travel system.
