I bought my Chinese Elm along with others I will post a photo along with my reviews. I love this plant, it gives warmth to my home and feels like outdoors. I did transfer mine into a larger pot I had also purchased at Wal-Mart and using the base pot my Chinese Elm came in for the Cactus I also bought. This beauty does require 6 hours of sunlight as I try to take mine out on the deck on sunny days. If it is cold or raining it won't hurt your plant to stay indoors for a few days. I always bring mine in at night and place it back on my triple plant stand. You should prune the leaves as this will make it grow much more with spring off branches. The leaves are sturdy not flimsy as I've had mine now for about two weeks and new leaves which are a lighter green are starting to form. I have one that has a small white flower blooming out. It is absolutely beautiful! Stay tuned for more upcoming reviews on the planters and plants I recently bought at Wal-Mart in the last month or so. I am very pleased with my purchase and strongly recommend this beautiful Chinese Elm Bonsai Tree in any home. Please note: I do have two Golden Pothos plants that I also purchased from Wal-Mart last year and I used a heat growing light and they both look as fresh and nice as I bought them. With most any indoor plant the key is not to over water them and give enough sunlight that is required and prune it for new growth and you'll your beautiful Chinese Elm Bonsai Tree all year and years to come with proper care. This indoor plant is easy to care for!
beàutifully groomed....arrived in perfect condition. soil was stíll damp. thanks......
Very pleased with Bonsai Tree..Arrived very well packaged in perfect condition.. Nice blue Dish, nicely shaped Tree... I purchased this little Tree to keep inside my house as a House Plant.. Conflicting information is a little confusing...Walmart Ad states Inside use.. Information that came with the Plant stated "Outside". I am keeping it inside as that was the purpose of purchase..Hoping for the best!
This tree is just perfect in every way. The leaves are very dense and green. The trunk is thick and it even has an exposed root which is good. It is small but bonsai trees are supposed to be small.
Was package very well. Took about 3 days to get here and was in great condition. I got one from here before and it was amazing as well but I went out of town for 6 days and it died so I bought a new one and I was impressed a second time. First photo is my first purchase and second photo is the one I just got today.
The bonsai arrived very protected and with the potting soil still moist and healthy in sight. I hope this continues to grow.
Healthy, well-packaged Bonsai.
Plant received not even close to the picture. Container not even close to what is shown in the photo. Dissatisfied considering the price I paid and the wait to receive it.
While I understand a living plant can't be exactly like a stock picture, what I got looks more like a small bush. Despite spraying water once a day, keeping the soil moist, and being well lit all day, have to constantly clean up leaves. At this rate it won't last 2 weeks. Do yourself a favor, take your time and visually check and see what you are buying at the store.
Arrived today and as soon as I opened the box I knew I was returning it. It was delivered in a box with a stiff piece of cardboard around the branches, and the pot taped to styrofoam packing in the bottom. CLEARLY what they do is stuff the cardboard into the box THEN absolutely *butcher* the tree so it fits inside the folds of the cardboard support. Result? A mushroom shaped bonsai that will takes months to grow out - see photo. Also, the trunk is as straight as can be and about the size of a Putt-Putt pencil. I've found more aesthetically pleasing growth on a dead Mesquite tree.
