After using expensive face products for years, I wanted to use products that have more natural ingredients, and also ones that were more friendly to my pocketbook. But, I didn't want to sacrifice quality. Radiance Day Creme is wonderful. I've learned a little goes a long way, and it keeps my face moisturized all day. Just allow enough time after applying so that it soaks in, before putting on make-up.
This is by far my favorite Burts Bees Product. I have tried other more expensive brands of facial moisturizer, but prefer this even to Clinique! This moisturizer is non-greasy and won't cause break-outs. It also has healing powers! I used it on a very bad sunburn which was much less severe by the next day. Even better than aloe...and not sticky. This is amazing since I am very fair-skined and burns tend to last many painful days!
I love this. My skin is so much smoother. I have been using it for a couple of years now. I thought it would make my skin greasy, but it hasn't. Wish I would have started sooner. Have also used the night cream for years. Highly recommend both products.
This is the best moisturizer I've tried for my face. It's easy good in warm weather, when my face tends to get a little oily. I can feel that my skin is still breathing. It's hard to explain, but my face can still feel air through the lotion. Anyway, this is good for daily use and throughout the year, even for combination or slightly oily skin. Sometimes I even use this at night before bed. I love how it's made with natural ingredients and doesn't clog pores.
Love it! I figured it was time to put something on my face that wasn't full of chemicals, so I tried this. It goes on smooth, softens all day long, seems to reduce wrinkles and smells great! The last time I used my not-all-natural face cream, my 2 year old told me I smelled like a witch (apparently, the mean, green, warty kind). Not anymore! Besides, if I can't pronounce it, I probably shouldn't be slathering it on my face.
I added this day cream to my skin regimen 5 months ago and people have commented that my face looks much brighter and clearer. I've not had problems with it clogging my pores, despite my being prone to breakouts. Although, at first, it seems like my face isn't absorbing it, I need to give it some time. I live in humid conditions so it's understandable. After a while, my face soon drinks it up, staying moisturized throughout the day. Yummy smell! I'm giving the Radiance Kit to my friend, who noticed how much better my skin is looking these days, so she can try it for herself.
I bought this in conjunction with the radiance face wash (which I ended up returning due to the smell) after reading some of the good reviews. I've always had a hard time finding a good facial moisturizer because of my intensely combination skin. I have overall dry skin, but it gets oily in the T-zone. Most dry skin moisturizers just leave my forehead more oily than just a regular lotion like Jergens would. So far, this has done a pretty good job. I don't feel completely moisturized after applying it, but I have to stop myself from putting on more, because from what others have said, too much leaves you greasy and less is definitely more. It's been a month since I started using it, but I'm still on the fence about it. I think I might just try something else, like the radiance lotion, but I'm just not sure. I'm still getting pretty oily on my forehead, not as much as before, but it may be due to me still using a scrubbing face wash rather than a gel or cream wash. As to the smell, it's not bad. When my husband smelled it just after I bought it, he said it smelled like Fruit Loops. It's pretty mild and you can't even smell it after you apply it. I have an extremely sensitive nose (I returned the radiance face wash because I couldn't handle the smell) and this is just fine. It doesn't have that weird overtone of odd chemical/natural smell that the face wash did. Just a pleasant one that's kind of surprising at first.
I like that this is a light moisturizer - it doesn't feel too thick on my skin. However, it can be too light. I found my skin dried out an hour or two after I put this on and eventually I had to pair it with an oil underneath to keep my skin feeling moist enough.
I was so happy to read some of the other reviews about the changes to this product. I use to LOVE this product. It use to smell great, feel great, and did great things for my skin. It now feels different and stinks! I have to hold my breathe when I put it on. Like one of the other reviews said, I also took it back to the store thinking it was expired or something! Why do companies change things?! Bring back the old formula!! I would have given it five stars before they changed it!
I have always loved this cream and have been using it for well over 2 years. I have sensitive skin and it is perfect. I recently purchased a new jar and thought it sat on the shelf too long because it did not smell the same. I returned it and purchased another one....same smell and IT IS NOT A PLEASANT ONE!!!! I called Burt Bee's and apparently they removed an ingredient so the product can now be shipped internationally. Now I do not know what to use on my face. I certainly don't want to put an unpleasant smelling cream on my face and I do not know if the lack of the one ingredient will change how the cream has worked for me in the past. BURT BEE's!! Bring back the old formula. PLEASE!
