I needed a keyboard tray and began hunting but everything was so "pricey" or didn't match. This keyboard tray coordinates beautifully and is nice and big so that a mouse and mouse pad fits easily next to it. End your search. This is the one !! Love it.
Made by Bush furniture. It was intended for a Bush furniture desk I bought about 30 years ago.....which already had holes drilled for this very tray, so I did not have to do any drilling! One suggestion for the survey creators.....remove the question about battery power LOL!!!
We have cornor desks, this shelf fits the desk and I did not have to purchase the expensive adjustable keyboard shelf. This keyboard shelf is just what I was looking for and can use.
I was impressed of the size of it. It fits my keyboard with extra room. Also holds my mouse and mouse pad. It slides smoothly and fits perfectly. I am glad that I included it in my order.
Although somewhat more expensive than some competing products, this keyboard shelf seems very sturdy and has good sliding action. It installed quickly in my Bush desk using the predrilled holes. A second set of hands during installation is helpful. Highly recommended.
If you purchase this product pay close attention to the dimensions. it BARELY fits between my filing cabinet under the desk and the return on the other end. I would have bought the articulating one if I had known this. It works fine and it seems sturdy enough, but I would be careful where you are placing it.
Bolted perfectly to the A series desk by bush. some have remarked that the drawer doesn't slide out easily. it doesn't, BUT i LIKE this. my old desk's drawer had a mind of it's own and never stayed where i wanted it. I don't like to pull the drawer out fully and the notches on most drawers make you pull it out all the way to make it stay. [...]. sometimes i like to leave the drawer all the way in but use my mouse and this isn't low enough to do that. i can live with it for now. will customize some on down th line. nothing is ever perfect. this is close. it's nice and wide too. and a lot sturdier than i thought it would be. i almost didn't purchase it but took a chance and i have no buyers remorse.
I've used lots of keyboard drawers from variuous manufacturers for less cost, but they are all flimsy and break apart or fail in too short a time. The Bush keyboard drawer is sturdy enough to last. It IS however rather larger than I expected, being it only comes in a full-width version that leaves ample room for a mouse/pad. I use a drawing tablet, so the mouse area ends up holding a notepad and pen. It slides in and out smoothly, though it would be nice if there were a grooved ridge underneath to improve grip when pulling the drawer out. The curved clamshell front makes it hard to grip without slipping off.
The set up would have been easier if I had known that the holes were already drilled in the desk. The directions say you need to drill holes, but they don't say anything about which desks are already suited for the keyboard. Something like, "With desks such and such, skip drilling." Thanks!
The keyboard tray slides smoothly compared to other under the table trays I've had. Installation would've been a lot easier had a full size paper template been included indicating the holes to be drilled.
