Give ample time for installation. I put it together with my son, extra hands are helpful. It took us about 5 hours to put it together, patience is required. The final product is very attractive. I consider the design is good for home use. So many parts go into this assembly, surprisingly, no missing parts.
Package arrived on time. Product was very well packaged, so it arrived without a scratch. Should have been sent by UPS as 132 LBS is under UPS's 150 LB weight limit. Was able to assemble by my self in one afternoon. Desk looks great and is exceptionally sturdy. Definitely a good buy.
...this is the best buy. It is totally unassembled on arrival, but we knew that at purchase. It was a 3 hour task, and everything went together as described and we now have a very attractive and sturdy computer station. Either side can be used for the CPU, two top drawers and adjustable shelves are included. This is new construction (hardware/screws, etc.) unlike the old fashioned furniture, and the material is pressboard with laminate surface. But, the product reveals a very nice finish when fully assembled. You cannot do better for the price.
I was surprised at how nice the desk was after I got it home and put it together. It was fairly easy to put together, but took almost 2 hours. The top and front faces of drawers are solid wood, which I think gives you a very expensive look for cheaper. The directions for installing the keyboard tray were very confusing, so pay extra attention when putting this part together. Also, you should probably have some help carrying and putting it together, it is HEAVY!
Very nice executive type looking desk. The storage suits my personal needs just right. The assembly was at times sort of confusing but, with patience you can figure it out. I only just put it together tonight so I have not had the chance to test it out yet but, I believe I will enjoy it. It matches most of the furniture in my home (cherry wood) which is great.
The Bush Credenza was a god deal, especially when coupled with the Hutch. Looks nice and feels very sturdy. Definitely heavy to move, so I recommend assembling it within a few feet of it's think this desk and Hutch will be around for quite some time. Great for the home office.destined location. I
The desk looks elegant and expensive for cheap. It was fairly easy to put together, but took a while to assemble,you should probably have some help carrying and putting it together. It is heavy. It would be the perfect desk if it had 2 built in filing draws instead of the cabinets.
It looks good from a distance; however, upon closer look you will see that the drawers don't quite line up and everything is just a little off. You get what you pay for. Overall its just not a well made desk. My husband who is very handy put it together quite easily, I would not have been able to do it myself probably. The finishes are nice- and the color is a deep cherry. For the price, I had hoped for more.
Gave it 2 stars because it's a beautiful and solid desk but after a few hours of putting it together the top had a flaw in the corner (see pic) that seemed to be from the factory - the predrilled holes for the keyboard tray were in the wrong place and so the tray was crooked and the predrilled holes for one of the draws were also in the wrong place so that was also off. I have ordered other things before from Hayneedle without a problem. I was very disappointed with this purchase and uncertain whether I'll order again from hayneedle. Thank goodness my husband was able to make the necessary adjustments so we'll keep it and live with the flaw- too much trouble to return. Not happy!
