We shopped for months for nice looking office furniture at a reasonable price. Did I say months? It felt like years! We are so happy with our discovery of hay needle and their products. The desks are heavy and the lateral file complements it beautifully. My husband and I assembled them and it took all day, but we really enjoyed it. Some of the screws were poor quality and the heads broke off, so I would one warn to be careful not to over tighten. All of the drawers on the file, as well as the desks, roll beautifully.
Beautiful file cabinet. Fits exactly where I needed it to fit. Assembly was difficult but not impossible. I reinforced areas with wood glue to add stability. Bottom of drawers is particle board so I added 1/4"" plywood to keep bottoms from falling. Should not be a problem but last cabinet I had (from someone else) did fall in. Looks very nice in area I needed.
Nice filing cabinet for the price. Definitely need someone experienced to put it together a lot of pieces. Definitely would get another one if needed.
The product arrived in great condition, assembled fairly easily, and looks great. All pieces and hardware were clearly labeled - which is a good thing. The instructions are accurate, but it's just a series of assembly drawings and part numbers. Could be confusing or intimidating if you're not good with drawings.
I bought a number of items in this series. They look great. Assembly is simple if you patiently and accurately follow the directions step by step. Quality is not great. Load limit on shelves is not low.
Very pleased with the unit. Has a couple of very neat features.1. Safety feature so you can only open one drawer at a time. 2. Steel brace under each file drawer to keep the bottom of the drawer from coming out when you get some weight in it. Had not seen these two feature in other similar file cabinets.
Once assembled, the cabinet is great. Blends okay with high end furniture. Husband did not enjoy putting it together--took about 8 hours and there are no words in the directions. This cabinet is not for those who are not handy with tools. Luckily, my husband is or this could have been a nightmare.
i bought an executive desk from another company and purchased the file cabinet from walmart. they match perfectly, but the nails that come with it do not fit, therefore i have to go out and buy new nails so the draws will shut. other than that inconvienience it seems great.
I'll have to say I was thoroughly disappointed with our filing cabinet. There is a gap between the drawers and the top. To say I spent $200 on this cabinet, I would say that is not money well spent. It is solid construction and was relatively easy to assemble, but definitely not worth what we paid for.
I hate having to replace furniture after such a short time span but the bottom drawer fell apart at 5 years and the top a year or two later. Poor quality...
