My husband and I bought this hutch, the desk, book case and matching dresser and we absolutely love it. It took us 2 days to put it together but it is so well made, heavy, good quality and it appears to be very high end furniture. It has so much storage and and many uses. We would reccommend it to people anyday!
The hutch to the desk and file cabinet is the perfect functional beauty to complete the look in your home office. There is all the extra storage place for computer extras. Also, I had worried before it came in about the hutch not fitting on either side of the L desk, but you choose the side that you want it on. I would definitely recommend this piece of furniture to complete the look and just make your software and papers easily accessible.
I ordered this hutch as well as the desk and file cabinet. Desk is the best of the bunch. The hutch's finish doesn't seem as nice as the desk. two of the "Part x" stickers that are on each piece actually peeled the finish off the piece. why they can't put the sticker on the unfinished side is a mystery. Luckily it isn't in too conspicuous of a spot. the backer board also had a hole in it upon arrival, once again, luckily it is in the back of the center cubby so not too visible. Seems like quality control is a little low, but for the price, this is a great value. Overall, I am happy with this hutch, it is just a bit disappointing to have the finish peel off with the stickers. you get what you pay for, and for this price, i don't think you can beat it. My one recommendation if you buy this: The piece that horizontally splits the center cubby and the shelf you put in the side cabinet (inside the glass door) are the exact same piece. so you get two total- one shelf for the side cabinet, and one spliter for the center cubby hole. My recommendation- use both for shelfs in the glass door side cabinets and don't bother splitting the center cubby hole, it is too small to be very useful anyway. (The center cubby is assembled in step 1, so just omit the horizontal piece in the H shape you assemble. Everything will still go together just fine) that way you'll have a useful size center cubby, and a shelf in each side glass door cabinet. You'll just need to pick up 4 more of the little shelf holder tabs that are available at any home improvement store, or probably wal-mart.
Hi, I purchased this hutch over two years ago, and it is a great product, however needs a little more support in the middle. If you buy the "L" desk that goes along with this, it looks great! It provides plenty of room to store anything you need. However, after about a year, I noticed that the hutch began to bow in the middle, and this bow is quite noticable and everyone always asks me about it, which is annoying. As this hutch is so long, the weight of it forces it to sag in the middle over time. I would recommend Bush to put in a support in the middle to avoid this, or if you purchase it, you could make one yourself. Other than that fact, this is a great product.
