I bought this desk for myself with my daughter getting the regular Citizen desk. I wanted more space to spread out paperwork. I definitely got what I wanted! I love the amount of space I have. I had to have help putting it together. Once it's together try not to have to move it though. It is very large. I haven't put the hutch on it yet, but I am sure I will love that as well. One other thing, the box weighs over 200 lbs, so definitely have help on hand for delivery and placement.
This desk tripled my work space and it looks great considering it's a pressed wood product. You can't beat the value for the price paid. The tower storage area is PLENTY big, you could fit two side by side easily. I have a fairly large tower. The only thing I've noticed is that if I keep the door closed it gets pretty hot in there so I would recommend opening the door if you run your computer for long periods. Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
It took me 2 days from the time I got it to put everything together by myself. It's so heavy. I love it. It fits perfectly in my home office. Even my grandso love crawling underneath it. It's nice and sturdy.
Ordered this desk for work and saved on s/h by sending it "site to store". Have pc, fax mach., phones, etc. and still have room to work. I recommend you put it together right where you plan on it sitting, as it's very heavy after it's put together and make sure you have an entire day to put together too...well worth it though! Looks great and we love it!
This is the second Bush L shaped desk I have purchased one was for my office and the other for my home it is a nice solid desk for the money w/ lots of work room (shipping is kind of high though) This is a great desk!
I bought this for home personal use. I love the work space I have with this desk. I have a laptop, PC and a printer on it and still have plenty of room to for doing paper work. I also have plenty of legroom.
I expected better quality, it's press board or whatever it's called (where it'll chip easy if scratched at). The faux wood grain top has started to wear along the edges where my arms are sitting. It's REALLY heavy, and took me about 3 1/2 hours to put together. It was easy enough to follow the directions, so that was a plus. DON'T buy the hutch attachment because it doesn't fit on this desk.
The desk is a nice addition to our office, however it scratches very easily and the CPU gets very hot in the cabinet, so we had to take it out to ensure the fan would continue to work. Also, the desk needs more openings to run all the extra wires for routers, hard drives, speakers, monitors, etc.
I purchased this desk about 2 years ago. At first, I really loved it, looks very professional, gives a ton of room to work, etc. However, my complaints started about a year in. First off, the fake wood patern on this desk is easily scratched off, which can happen accidently, and looks terrible after it's rubbed off. Second, the hutch for this desk began to sag in the middle due to how long the hutch is and how heavy it is. So, it has a noticible sag in the middle and everyone always asks about it, which is annoying... Anyways, other than that, I really like the desk. If you treat it really gently and perhaps put in a support in the middle of the hutch, it would be a perfect desk.
drawers and draw slides are very cheap and they dont hold more then 10-15 pounds. they dont shut or open correctly. there were not enough screws in the kit to put the desk together so i had to buy more elsewhere. the desk was not worth the money i would put a value of 200.00 on this desk.
