Old unit would not cycle on and off properly. This one keeps room at comfort level - not too much not too little heat.
Replaced thermostats when replacing heaters, easy install!
I have 4 electric baseboard heaters with these built in thermostats. In the two years they have been installed they have gotten very light use as an auxiliary heat source in a house that is heated primarily by propane. Of the 4 thermostats, 2 have failed in less than two years. I suspect the other two are not far behind. This is going to be a costly fix. Sorry I bought them
