Very happy with this product. Is safe to use a presser cooker again. Ever since one exploded due to a bad ring seal I have not bought or used another Presser cooker. This is a dream to cook with. I can make a healthy fast meal from the freezer in 1/3 of the time it would take to take if from the freezer, wait to thaw, cook. Love this product.
I purchased this pressure cooker 1 month ago and have so extremely please with its performance! It's so easy to use and the "lock, unlock" lid is an absolute dream (for those of us who've experienced the hassle of pressure cooker lid removal to this point!). A great buy!
My Mom has one and I'm so jealous! I have a cheap version and it honestly scares me to even use it so I've been going to my Mom's to use her's for my canning. Its easy to use and has a lot of great features and I would hightly recommend this pressure cooker
I bought this a couple months ago and am very happy with it. However, in reading some of my old pressure cooker recipes, many of them require an insert. For instance an insert would be used over your meat with say, vegetables in it. Something that takes less time to cook than your main meat. I think that would be a good item to sell. Thank you for a beautiful pot! Oh, and maybe since it is such a wonderful pot, a clear lid as an extra option so it could be used for regular stock pot. Thank you!
I have been using this pressure cooker for about five years now. I was searching for some recipe with pressure cooking, and saw the reviews and thought I should write my experience as well. This pressure cooker is so pretty and easy to use. Easy to clean. I love it. I cook beans, meat, and even cooked Indian recipes which is called "Dal" in it. One thing with Dal cooking is, If it is washed very well few times, it does not spill or clog the steam valve. Even though the handles stay fairly cool after the steaming is over, I recommend to open the top with towel, because it can be pretty hot sometimes, if you steam a little longer. The cooker does not take lot of space. It is so cute, but you can cook a lot in it. I love my Calphalon pressure cooker. I've even made Beef Bourguignon in it. Yummy. So good. If you have never cooked in a pressure cooker before, Calphalon is the way to go, because it is very simple to use. I highly recommend this pressure cooker to beginners and professional cookers. It is just wonderful.
This works fantastic and is so much simpler to use than the old style of pressure cooker with the little pressure control that you had to put on the lid once the steam started coming out - no control to misplace either!
I bought this pressure cooker a year ago in June. I have owned several pressure cookers, including some electric models. This one is by FAR the best! Since it is stainless steel, I can brown my meat in the cooker instead of having to brown in another pan before putting it in the pressure cooker. Also, since it is manual/on the stove, the pressure comes up so quickly that I doubted the light the first two times I used it. This one takes about 5 minutes to come to pressure, as compared to about 20 minutes for the electric models. This makes the best pork ribs (fall off the bone!), stew, chicken broth, roasts, macaroni and cheese, etc., etc. Absolutely the BEST!
I've always been afraid of pressure cookers, this one with two buttons: open and close, solves my problem. I love how the pot is self is made out of stainless steel. With our family busy work schedule, we can make flavorful meals in less than 30 minutes! Love it!
I bought this a month ago and am very happy with the results. I am very disappointed that I can't get replacement gasket for it. Would not have purchased it if I had known that.
I have been using pressure cookers since the 1950s and this is the first one that comes without an insert basket. The result is that one cannot steam-cook the food, it has to be boiled, a despicable way to cook. If there was an insert to keep the food away from the bottom and the sides, I might reconsider, as the product is beautiful and well-built.
