This coffee is a dessert all by itself. The smell fills the air with a wonderfully sweet bakery aroma.
Thiis one is accurate to description with butterscotch and rum. Tastes a little sweet, I like it without without creamer.
Highlander Grog has been my Go to for a quick moment of bliss! WOW! Now Cameron's is packaging it in K-cups... and they are recyclable! My fave! Tastes great and helps lessen my carbon footprint. Thanks, Cameron's!
I love this coffee! Lovely flavor not bitter nor does it leave a nasty taste on your tongue after drinking. But the one thing I love the most are there Eco pods; I put them in my composter and they break down after a month! No plastic waste, no mess and the coffee grounds are great for my plants. A globally conscious company I just wish they sold their products more in the southeast. I have to order it online in order to get it.
I buy Cameron's Coffee Ecopods in the Breakfast Blend for my morning coffee, but the Highlander Grog flavor is my favorite flavored coffee of all time. Most flavored coffees taste nothing like the advertised flavors, but this one does. I love a cup of this in the early afternoon.
Cameron's Highlander Grog coffees are the tastiest in this flavor compared to other brands! Repeat Customer here!
Great coffee. Tastes like alcohol haha
I love the flavor of Cameron's Highlander Grog which is why I am giving it two stars instead of one. My biggest disappointment with the Cameron's k-cup compatible pods is the fact that more often than not in my experience there is a poor seal at the point where the injector needle pierces the top. As a result the pressure forces coffee grounds out the top of the pod and they wind up getting into the cup. Other times the needle has failed to puncture the top membrane completely and the water doesn't go through the pod properly, resulting in a cup of plain hot water or very weak coffee. Unlike most k-cup type pods, Cameron's use what they call an EcoPod which doesn't have a plastic cup. The bottom is just a rounded bag-like filter containing the coffee. The only plastic part is the rim around the top that fits into the brewer. They bill this as more ecologically friendly and compostable. Sounds good, right? Yes, but not when it makes almost every cup undrinkable because of the grounds. I think the real problem is the material that the top membrane is made of. It seems to be some sort of thick, fibery pasteboard, probably used because it will break down during composting. It simply doesn't make the same neat hole when the needle punctures it as most other brands of pods that have the plasticized foil top membranes. I don't have a regular Kuhrig brand coffeemaker. Mine is a Bella, so that might make some difference. Still, there are a lot of k-cup compatible coffeemakers of various brands out there. I would think they would have the same issues to varying degrees as well. All in all, good coffee, good idea with less plastic waste, just not very well designed or tested.
Took forever to get it and very disappointed don't like the taste at all very bitter and has an after taste.
I love Highlander Grog, it's one of my top three favorite coffees, so I definitely recommend it. But I wouldn't recommend any Keurig owners to buy these pods. I've used them in two different Keurigs so far, and neither worked. The Keurig never stabs all the way through the cap. The center point usually perforates well enough, but the other four points don't make it through the cup's thick cap, so the coffee spills out everywhere once it starts dripping. For a while, I was using a knife to finish perforating all of the drip points, but once I had a spill or two even after doing that, I quit trying. This papery cap doesn't make clean holes like the normal aluminum-type pod caps, so the water just won't drip cleanly through. The eco pod lids need to be redesigned for better efficiency. I just switched back to my reusable cups and a bag of ground to continue enjoying this coffee.
