I received this camera for Christmas and one word- AMAZING! Why? -Quality of the pictures are GREAT! - Many different settings to make the picture the way YOU like it and that is one of the most important parts of photography. Let the pictures express who YOU are. Every photographer is different... There is no right or wrong way when it come to photography. Just remember to ALWAYS be patient with your new camera because it takes time to get used to it and learn what all you CAN do! Now I can go on and on about how much I LOVE this camera and why you should buy it but I think the few things that I told you say enough =) I most definitely recommend this camera!!! =)
best camera I ever had! so easy to use great pictures I got this camera when it first came out would not trade it for for anything its priceless Thanks ONLY bad things some times a little dark but thats probly my falt lol but photo shop fixs that problem easy

Over all the camera is great. When the camera does what it is suppose to do, the image quality is great. One issue is when using the external flash; some of the pictures come out on the dark side. This happens no matter what setting the camera is on. It can be on totally automatic, the "P" setting or any of the others. I have had to adjust setting manually in order to have the exposure come out right. Since I have two of the high end flashes, the 550EX and the 580EX, if I use both of them at the same time I have better results, but you can't always be in a position to use two flashes. My previous camera was the EOS 650 film camera and it was fantastic. I recommend Canon over any other brand.
I have bad eye sight. and auto focus is bad for me.
Some features are more advanced for beginner users.Overall a very good camera
I purchased this camera used more than 6 years ago. I have traveled extensively with it and taken some darn good photos. Very good camera and easy to use.
