However, I already love it! The zoom is amazing in this little camera! And the fact it has wifi and Bluetooth makes it so much more convenient. Also, the quality of pictures is great. The camera is lightweight so it makes it easy to carry around all day. Overall, this is a great camera with great features.

I'm slowly getting acquainted with all the different modes and when best to use them. This camera is amazing and continues to impress me the more I use it. Some of my favorite features are the 40x optical zoom which helped me capture some gorgeous shots of the lunar eclipse this year and the Bluetooth connectivity and wifi transfer! I can transfer images from the camera directly to my phone in a matter of seconds, it's very impressive! The videos you can capture are stunning in 4K UHD, I'm so excited to capture more memories in such clarity. It's pretty easy to use and I'm slowly getting better at operating it and more in tune with its features. I love that it has a rechargeable battery and is light and compact enough to store in my purse. I'm excited to get some up close and personal shots of flowers and bugs this summer with this amazing little camera! I recommend this camera for photographers of all skill levels! It's an amazing little machine!
I bought this camera to use traveling because of it compact size and amazing zoom! Canon hit a home run with the SX740 HS. High quality pictures with an amazing zoom. It's very easy to setup the WiFi and Bluetooth. It allows you to quickly send pictures directly to your phone to forward on or to your computer/printer. The camera is very easy to use and the Optical Image Stabilizer really helps produce sharp pictures. Extremely helpful for unsteady people like me. I just love the 4K movie quality from this camera!

The clarity of images captured is fantastic. The battery life is perfect for a day or two of fun. The camera itself is straightforward and intuitive (gotta love Canon!) If you're looking for an easy to use, everyday camera, I would put this on the top of the list!
This is my 2nd SX740 HS as I dropped my original! I've never been so mad at myself! This camera worked so well for me that I had to have another one just like it. Yes, it's not the best one but, for action shots of our farm animals and birds, it's great. The zoom is excellent and was one of the original points that made the sale. You can't go wrong with this camera! Price wise, it's wonderful.
I have had several of these Powershot cameras each more advanced than the last. I appreciated the small size but powerful zoom lenses the last couple units have come with. I find the camera does a great job for me (mainly landscapes, beauty shot) types of photos. The camera definitely comes with more professional features that I do not think to use as I use the camera for vacations and travel. It is perfect for quick photos and is pretty rugged as I use it in some conditions beyond what the listed performance shows.
The SX740 is a nice upgrade to the SX720, which performed flawlessly for years. The super zoom is great for concerts and sporting events. I wish that Canon would continue to manufacture compact super zoom cameras for those of us who don't want to invest in a DSLR and carry additional lenses, or carry bulkier models. I feel like they're missing out on a critical market segment.
I ordered this camera for travel and hiking. I wanted a better picture quality than a cell phone camera. I like the size and the zoom lens. I carry mine with the PSC-3300 padded case attached to my belt which is very convenient to carry and access. The picture quality is much better than a cell phone in clarity and detail. It is very easy to use and when not in the auto mode it has features to adjust white balance, exposure comp, autofocus method, metering mode, image quality, ISO speed, style settings, still image aspect ratio and displaying f-stop and shutter speed number and making necessary adjustments for the picture to take. Menu access is very easy to access and use. The picture playback includes a histogram with is a must for any photographer for proper exposure and making adjustments in varying light situations. My larger camera has these features and are a must for me with my photography background. The camera connect app is very easy to use to remote control the camera and transfer pictures to my cell phone for sharing the pictures that I have just taken. would highly recommend this camera for travel or outdoor sport activities.
I have the Canon SX710 that I love. Purchased the SX740 for my wife. Love the quality, super zoom and the tilt selfie LCD screen.
