The mattress is EXACTLY as described. It seemed hard the first time I laid in it, then my body sunk into the foam. When I woke up, I realized that I had slept the whole night through. I had no stiffness or aches. If you are having trouble sleeping, I highly recommend this mattress.
This is one of the best mattresses that I have ever owned It is soft but very firm to sleep on. I am glad that I looked on this site before I spent 500-1000$ on mem-foam.
I have problems with my back and have tried several mattresses in the last few years trying to find a comfortable one. If I did find a good one, it would only last a year or so before it became uncomfortable. I read all the reviews on the 4, 8 and 12 inch Spa Sensations mattress and selected the 8 inch. I opted for Site to Store. It took 16 days for it to arrive – which is longer than their longest estimate of delivery date. Since it was a nice day, when I got it home I unpacked it in the back yard. It recovered to 5 or 6 inches thick almost immediately. I removed the plastic cover and laid the mattress on it. I remembered several reviewers stating that the mattress hadn't expanded all the way. Thinking it might have been that the temperature was colder when they unpacked it, I placed a black fitted sheet over it so the sun would have the most effect and let it stay out all day. That evening, I checked it and it appeared to have expanded to the full 8 inches thick. I took it in and placed it on my box spring and slept on it that night. It was very comfortable. It did have a smell to it for 2 or 3 days but it was very slight and was unnoticeable after a few minutes. You did, however smell it again if you left, then came back into the room. I did purchase a thick down substitute mattress pad and mattress cover which makes it feel like a several thousand dollar high-end mattress. I had tried memory foam toppers on other mattresses – and while they improved the mattress's feel, they would slide around and bunch up in places. This cover does not appear to be doing that. I have had it for almost two weeks now and am very happy with it. It appears firm when you lay on it but then you sink into it and it feels great! If I sleep on a too-firm mattress I have sore spots when I wake up in the morning. There is not one trace of that with this mattress.
Got it for daughter's 2nd birthday for her Big Girl Bed. We LOVE it! It was delivered very quickly. It was full a 8 inches within 2 hours of taking it out of the box (I measured). Everyone that comes over lays on it and loves it. Whoever invented a spring mattresses was CRAZY!!! The cheapest mattress I could find anywhere was $99, this is only $50 more and it's AWESOME! We bought a vinyl cover to protect it for $10.
After having all 3 kids sick over Christmas break I realized just how hard it is to take care of a sick child when they are up in this loft! I decided to put an extra bed on ground level in case I need it in the future, and it could also serve as extra sleeping space for guests. After searching for something reasonably priced, and heeding all of the reviews, I purchased this for a trundle bed to fit under my sons Junior loft bed. It came very quickly, the smell was very slight and it rose to the full 8 inches in minutes. By evening the smell was gone. It is very comfortable, my daughter has even taken to sneaking in and sleeping in it at night! In my opinion it is a great affordable purchase that has already come in very handy! I plan on buying another one to go under my other son's loft bed.
I was in the market for a new mattress to help me sleep better at night, when I came across this one. I was sceptical at first when I saw the price, as I always thought lower price meant lower quality. I've had the mattress for a few weeks now, and am VERY pleased!! My first reason for buying was price. The second was the size. I purchased a King size bed frame from Ikea, but most mattresses here were Cal King. Third was the fact that I'd heard many good things about memory foam mattresses. Now that I have the mattress all of my friends have come to lay on it, and they all love it as well. I don't toss and turn like I did w/ my old mattress, and it really does cradle your body. My only dislikes are the smell from making the foam, which they said would go away in about 48 hours and it's still a faint trace of it now. My other dislike is the fitted sheet is somewhat hard to smooth out against the cover of the mattress when you're making the bed. All in all, it's worth way more than I paid!!
I purchased the queen size Canopy 8" memory foam mattress in-store, by myself, and was able to load it in the car, and unload in my bedroom all on my own. It comes in a box, with wheels and a handle; it's not hard to handle when it's in the box but it does become more difficult when it's fully expanded (just like a normal queen size mattress). There was a bit of an odor, but it's more of an organic nature than a chemical smell, and it goes away after a couple of days. The mattress expanded to it's full 8" within a day and a half. I also bought a Smartbase steel foundation from one of your other 'marts for 100.00. This foundation is 14" off the ground, so that combined with the 8" memory foam creates a great height for rolling in and rolling out of bed; no strain. Also, the steel frame has larger spaces in the middle where you connect the two halves so I bought 3/4" laminated plywood to lay over it (on top of inexpensive $3.00 rubber stoppers found at...another 'mart to keep the plywood in place). I tried a memory foam pillow, but it didn't work out. The mattress though...is AWESOME. I completely recommend it. I do not ache anymore in the morning. The deal was completely worth it....economical, but more than I expected.
We've had this for a couple weeks now. It is very good. We went from an air mattress to this so there's not much to compare there. I did think a little more about memory foam mattresses though, that's why it didn't meet my full expectations (it's nothing against this mattress itself). As other people have said, it IS firm! (which I don't care for too much). But you do sink in to it. The first night we slept in it she said it felt like sleeping on cardboard, but she can't live without it now. Setup of course was very easy, just roll it out, cut it open and let it inflate itself. It was up to full size in no time, we slept in it that night. One end did seem like it wasn't as high as the other which isn't a big deal because that's the end we use for the top (for the pillows) Over all I would recommend this mattress (and I already have).
This was a great deal! I waited for it to go on rollback and only paid $180. I definitely agree with many other reviewers that why should I pay $3000 for the same thing from tempur-pedic. So far the mattress has only expanded about 7 inches, but in the packaging it stated it could take 24 hours or more to fully expand. I also bought a platform from here and it goes great with it. I could tell the difference immediately between this one and my old mattress. I have a hard time sleeping and usually wake up between 3-5 times a night. Sleeping on this mattress I have only woken up 1 time during the night. I sleep a lot better and more comfortably. I would definitely recommend getting this mattress to anyone.
This 'mattress' is not at all what I expected. It's no better than a spring mattress. I thought it would help with my back pain, but that all depends on how much sleep I want. When I only sleep 4-5 hours,my back actually feels really good, but if I sleep 8-10 hours I feel like I can't move because my back hurts so bad. It's hard to get comfortable to fall asleep, too. Had I known it would be so hard to return, I wouldn't have purchased it. The box is 5 times smaller than the mattress, so I'm going to have to somehow get the mattress to my local wal-mart to return it.
