I purchased this for my kindergarten-aged son. He loves it. He is now able to see the tiny details of many everyday objects. It is much easier to use than an optical microscope. The only draw back is that we were unable to get it to run on Vista. We ended up installing it on XP and it works great.
I was pleased to find that this device is actually alot smaller than it looks online. It can be handled with just your fingers. I carefully researched all of the microscopes before buying. This one has delivered, and you won't beat the price.
Very useful product for magnification & photos
Although the product states it is compatible with Mac, it simply is not. The software won't download even with the proper computer requirements. My daughter really wanted this for her geology hobby but is unable to use it. Very disappointing what has been advertised just to sell a few more.
major software errors after install ( I am running XP with 16 GB ram). Could not get snap shot to function, only the video capture. Unit capture button would not function. Disappointed could not solve software issues - would have been ok.
