I bought this calculator from Amazon a year ago, and I like it very much. This calculator was a whiz in my Physics class, Statistics class, and Physics Lab class as well. My instructor was very impressed because it did everything even better than the Texas Instrument calculator. This was my first Casio purchase ever, and I knew about Casio since the 1970's. This calculator so impressed me, that I gave the one I ordered from Walmart to my math Instructor, and he was very happy. This is a great calculator and makes a wonderful gift.
Researched calculators that are acceptable for use on the Professional Engineer Exam - this one was the best by far.I've used for about 2 weeks, doing nuclear engineering problems/calculations. Accompanying manual is good for learning how to operate the calculator and its functions.
I will keep this short and sweet. At $14, this calculator is well worth the cost of replacing your outdated calculator as it processes, computes, and displays far better than those that might have cost you upwards of $50 to $100 years ago. Seriously, look no further...it's the way to go!
This product was exactly what my daughter needed to use for school. It is an excellent calculator that stands up to the test! This is the second one we have purchased! No problems here!
For my Mechtronics classes, this calculator does everything I need and costs a fraction of the cost of some of the ones my classmates have.
I'm an engineer and use it for work. I find this calculator a great value for the price. For most part it is exactly what I need. I found that in some cases there are ways of doing things that I feel could have been done in a simpler way, like for example switching between radians and degrees without having to go through a menu, but overall it is well design. The "Natural VPAM" entry and display is really very good, and for most it is probably better than conventional entry like in other calculators (TI or HP).
good availability ,, definately good way to buy,,, but I will like to have next day delivery too
I wish I had this back in high school and college.
Complex calculations work great! Easy to use. Good thing I did not get a TI which costs too much for a calculator.
I bought this calculator because of price and reviews on amazon. I'm using it for a moderate level college algebra class. During some homework & a couple online quizzes, I kept getting a few problems wrong. I couldn't figure it out. I reviewed the homework, input the numbers carefully, made sure my answer matched the calculators but no luck. I still got in the high 80's/low 90's but I figured if I couldn't get high 90 or perfect score working at home, what was going to happen on test day in class? Then I borrowed my daughters Texas Instrument & tried it jic. Perfect scores from there on out. I even went back and tried what I missed on my old homework and online quizzes (w/ the TI) just to see what would happen. Perfect scores. So I tried this calculator (Casio) again on the problems I missed initially & got the same wrong answers again. To be fair, I'm sure that I had the Casio in the wrong mode or had to input the information in a certain manner & would have gotten the correct answer if I had done so. Casio does make a very good product. But after 2 weeks of not getting it righ,t I gave up. I went to a local Walmart & bought a basic TI 30 series scientific calculator for under $10 and everything has been fine since. If I had more time, patience & calculator smarts this Casio may well be a 5 star calculator. But for me & whoever else out there that has only average math/calculator skills, its really only an average product.
