I bought this fountain for my cat because it has a stainless steel top and my cat suffers from feline acne, so stainless steel is best for him. He took to the fountain right away. I've had zero problems with it, and no leaks. Easy to clean, easy to use.
Love this fountain! I recently bought a plastic Catit brand fountain, had it running for a couple days and my cats wouldnât go near it. It was loud and didnât have enough water flowing over the bowl. Within minutes of getting this stainless steel too fountain set up, me and my cats were very impressed. It is so quiet and the flow covers most of the bowl. Three of my cats have tested it out and I think they like it. It was defintely worth spending more on this fountain for the quietness and peace of mind knowing they are enjoying it ultimately giving my kitties a boost in health.
I was wary of buying this product given the negative reviews. But I read reviews on other retailers' site and helpfully, some buyers provided a solution to the leaking. Don't overfill the tank - at least 1"/25cm below the top of the electrical cord line - otherwise the cord acts as a wick. I have followed this advice and so far have had no leaks. My cats love it - they came around to it very quickly, even though they are quite old. I also like that it's easy to maintain. I clean it fully once a week and top up the water level every 2 days - that's it.
I don't understand the other reviews other then they don't listen to instructions… You fill the fountain to a certain point if everything inside of the unit is in proper positioning this unit does not leak. I love it ...it's quiet ....I clean it every two days I keep the filter changed and I haven't had a problem & I ‘ve owned it for 6 minths. I highly recommend this fountain!
For the money this is one of the best water fountains for cat on the market. The non reactive stainless steel adds a level of safety that plastic does not provide. It is whisper quiet. And the perfect size. Catit should improve the instructions as there is no leaking....only improper set up of the cord insert. it is a bit fiddly. But the product does not leak. Period.
It is very quiet and my cats love it I definitely would recommend it
Walmart is excellent delivery
We bought it because we read that the cats will drink more from rolling water. And it's true! They love it and are indeed drinking more than they were. It has a great capacity, filling it once a week for 2 cats.
Only lasted for 2 months, black spots started forming within the fountain. I wouldn't recommend this.
Don't buy this product. It lasts only 3 years, started leaking from where the power cord is hidden. Catit asks to buy a new one. Very poor quality.
