I bought the C&H brand because it is "pure cane sugar" grown in Hawaii. My Mother used to buy it and I just followed her footsteps in buying sugar. I like the large container because it keeps the sugar fresh. I used to buy the small bags of sugar and put it into a plastic container to keep it fresh, but this saves me a few steps.
I am mighty sure I won't be purchasing this exact product all the time because it is more expensive than the regular paper package. I bought it because I like the pink plastic tub and I will refill it when it is empty. I like this container because of the wide opening. Makes it real easy when needing to place a measuring cup inside, large measure scoop, etc. The sugar is always great quality with C&H.
I really like this sugar, I really like the container. I don't have to wrestle with a flimsey bag. Wish they would do the same for flour.
I like the sugar in this canister. It's easy to locate when stored and you can stack other canisters on top with no problem. I don't have to transfer sugar to another container and risk spilling. There are places to grip canister which reduces risk of it slipping out of your hand. I do a lot of baking and can estimate more accurately how many cakes I can get out of one canister. You pay more. This 4 lb canister of sugar is the same price as a 5 lb bag of sugar. I wish I could order as part of my grocery delivery. for some reason, Wal-mart will not delivery this item.

Why is this product in a plastic container so expensive?? I have this in another container and I don't know where my husband bought it. But I wanted to buy it from Walmart and there's this ridiculous price.
