Easy installation. Works great. No codes for the kids to remember, they just swipe their finger to open the garage. On clearence for $45, you can't beat it!
I installed it. It didn't work. I called tech support. They said that I had installed it too close to the garage door opener motor and that it was getting signal interference. Nowhere in the instructions did it state that it had to be 10-12 feet away from the opener motor. After reinstalling further away, it still didn't work. I called again, & while on hold, I looked up the installation instructions from the website and discovered the paper instructions that came with the product was missing an entire page. Once I had the complete instructions, I finished programming it easily, all while still on hold with tech support. If you follow the instructions to the letter (make sure they sent all the pages!), it's an easy installation and it's easy to use. I set it up for my child who has a habit of losing things, this eliminates the risk of losing a house key.
Well this item seemed like a great concept. Actually I ordered it for one of our cars (you can only use one of these fingerprint models per each garage door opener) with the intent to carry it in the car in place of the small push button opener you put on the car visor. This is because if the car is stolen, the thief might be able to determine what your address is from the license plate and then use the visor garage door opener to gain access to your garage. One of our neighbors had this happen when they left their car in their driveway overnight. Anyway, it was easy to install but it was an aggravation trying to get it to recognize an enrolled fingerprint. Had to keep swiping your finger quite a few times for it to register. I returned it to WalMart and purchased the Chamberlain Clicker Universal Remote model KLIK2U with lighted buttons you key in a code and it works perfectly. We bought one of these for each car. According to the Chamberlain tech on the phone, you can use up to nine of these keypad remotes per garage door opener. Also, I ordered these keypad number remotes through Amazon since they were slightly cheaper there.
