Just ordered the set to use at work during lunches in our parking lot as a team building activity. Paddles seem to be an upgrade from 'cheaper set' bought at sporting goods store. Net was easy to assemble. It was great having everything to get started (we just got chalk to temporarily make the lines).
It is a lightweight paddle about 7.2 oz.; easy to control for the net shot but takes a bigger swing at the baseline for a power shot. Unfortunately the handle broke after several months; I called and talked to the agent and they quickly replaced it with a new paddle. Excellent service by Iris!!! I definitely would buy from Pickleballcentral again.
We love this bundle. It has been perfect for our family of 4. Nice quality. The only this was that the duffel bag had a strong chemical smell when we unboxed it. ... A couple of days of airing it out seems to have helped. I would totally recommend this set.
My wife and daughter have this paddle so when my reasonably expensive model developed soft corners and loose ribbing, I decided to adopt this beauty AND have absolutely no regrets. Except that a net that I ordered a day later using the same process came two days earlier than the paddle. AND when I called to ask to combine the orders to save shipping dollars as well as to take a little pressure off an overworked delivery system at this “BLACK” & “CYBER” time of the year, I was denied. Go figure!!!
Got this set to broaden our quarantine activities and we love it! We can even play on our pack patio! Could be good in the street or driveway as well. The paddles are lightweight and easy for my 6 year old to use, but also great for me and my husband. They are made really well, as are the balls and the duffle bag. The paddles are good looking and the covers are nice to have to keep them in good condition while stored. Would def recommend to others!
Last year I moved from NJ to Bernd, Or. My daughter and her family still live in NJ and asked if I could find and send them a kit for pickleball with the net, balls and paddles. They had played a couple of times but they want to play it on their garage area since they cannot play a sport out or indoors . Like then rest of us. So they have really enjoyed playingwith the family. The area is not as big as it should be but that doesn't matter. Just get out, hit the ball, make other fun rules etc. The kit I brought from you was just the right thing!!
Paddles are very sturdy and well made . I got this set as a gift for my son and his family . This came very fast and everything is well made. I’m very pleased with this
We were looking for a reasonably priced beginner paddle and this one exceeded our expectations! Lightweight and easy to grip. We really enjoy using them as we are having a blast playing pickleball!
This paddle is very much like the Champion Graphite x paddle that I ordered recently in terms of size (perhaps 1/4" smaller in both height and width) and overall shape/ handle length/finish, etc. The surface is smooth as opposed to the textured (and I assume graphite) surface of the more expensive Champion paddle. Both paddles weigh the same, but this paddle seems lighter in the hand, which might mean it's weighted differently. I bought this for my wife who was a serious tennis player back in the day, but is new to PB, and it seems like a good entry level paddle. I used it while switching back to my paddle, and they both seemed similar during play.
As you can see the product was supposed to have covers and it did not have any covers. It also took a long time to receive it , luckily it came in time to use with friends. I have another set that I bought from Pickleball central and the paddles developed bubbles. Pickle ball Central said too bad.
