This is the little pump that could. With lot's of force too. I especially like that it will pump at any throttle position, even idle. We use this out on our gravel road system when it rains so much that bodies of water form and the road becomes washed out. In no time at all this pump will move the water pooled on one side of the road to the other lower side where it will flow and drain away. The pump always starts with one pull, sips gasoline, and pumps like a geyser. The only problem I had was installing the intake hose on the coupler, but with soap, silicone, and shear brute force I managed to get it coupled. It would be nice if this part came pre-assembled, for sure. Thank you Champion Power Equipment for a great well made pump that saves the day, repeatedly.
I live in Florida on the edge of a swamp, and have frequent problems with knee deep standing water in my back yard. I found this pump kit to be very easy to setup and use. When I use this pump it gets a workout. 2 to 4 hour run time without and problems . Thanks to reading other reviews and the tips in them I have not had any issues. This is my second Champion power gas powered Item purchased, and I have found them highly easy to setup, and use. I would recommend them highly.
I use the pump to irrigate my lawn from out of the creek.... it is easy to use and with great results.... always starts on first pull... I I usually run 5 or 6 sprinklers with no problem.... could run more... Will recommend to everybody I know...
Starts on the first pull and runs great. I have used this all summer for my garden and lawn and it never had any issues.
We have had an extreme an. mount of this past month. Our yard was flooded and I needed something to move alot of water. This pump fit the bill perfectly, even used to pump out School parking lot down the street.
Working great so far to the pump water from our spring to a new 1 acre lake we had dug a year ago.We are in a drought and lake level was getting low and purchased this pump to keep the fish alive. Running 2-3 hours per day.
#sweepstakes When we initially received this pump, it contained a bad shaft seal and of course leaked terribly. I took it apart, took pictures of the faulty parts, and e-mailed a warrenty claim to champion. Four days later, I received all the necessary parts to repair the pump at no cost to me. Excellent customer service. Great to see a company stand behind their product and fix the small problems quickly. The pump works great now with new seals, and the motor is easy to start and run.
I purchased this trash pump online in May 2020 and followed the set-up to the T....engine started right away and runs great but the pump will NOT prime so it is useless. I reached out to support via phone and was on hold over 20 minutes without answer. I began emailing and received quick replies with some possible remedies which I tried but none worked. I kept replying and waited weeks for responses. I was finally told Champion would do a return but I had to meet their rep at "the store". I explained I purchased this product online and asked for other options....I HAVE HEARD ANOTHER REPLY. I have held off doing this review but have got no solution for a product that does not work and I paid good money for.
I have a sunken patio , about three feet below ground level. I have tried twice to get this pump to remove the standing water on my patio surface. I purge my pump as per the instructions but it will not pump the water out of the discharge hose. The first time I used this pump my hose fitting which is part of the discharge hose blew off the pump. The hose fitting which is made of PVC plastic was defective, it cracked in half. Right now I can't use this pump because it will not pump out the water from my patio
Bought this unit just before Christmas, hoping to flood ice skating area on our lake for the grandkids. Easily assembled for most anyone who can read. Started on first pull. After apx. 30-40 minutes of operating, the plastic fitting that goes into hose and attaches to pump broke at the discharge end. Water sprayed everywhere, including onto the machine. The motor shut off and was incredibly hard to re-start the following day. Not satisfied, not at all impressed with the plastic hose fittings that came with the package. Certainly not the most expensive pump on the market, but still, when you pay $250-some dollars for a product it is disappointing to see it cheapened in the manner I felt this unit was.
