After reading online reviews about Walmart's Everstart batteries and good warranty, I headed to the nearest Walmart Auto center to have my over 3 yr old (purchased car used 3 yrs back) auto battery checked. It failed the test an I wasn't surprised. They had 2 options: the Everlast and the Champion - same grade but Champion was $10 more. The rep actually recommended the Everlast saying they both have the same warranty, only Champion uses 20% less energy and releasing 20% lower greenhouse gas emissions than other manufacturing methods. That alone sold me into spending $9 more for it. Plus the label said it had Power Frame grid technology that almost eliminates premature failure. At home I checked out more about it here http://www.powerframe.com/us/WhatIsPowerframe.aspx and I think the $9 looked like a good investment. The PowerFrame patented grid design provides superior starting performance over the life of the battery with up to 70% better electrical flow than other grid technologies. Time will tell if the extra $9 was really worth it, but not having found any info before I purchased it, I wanted to share this with folks who are considering this battery.
