I like chapstick. I like that it moisturizes my lips and that it keeps them hydrated. I like that this chapstick has spf on it. Spf helps my lips from the sun. Great product.
So if you're ever struggling a little with chapped skin in the winter — this is a great go to. This brand's chapstick is a staple everywhere in the United States! They have great seasonal products with different scents and even some shaded varieties but, no one can go wrong with good ol' original! My toddler gets little bouts of chapped skin on his face and dab some of this on in a pinch and it even helps cheeks! It's silky smooth and has a nice natural smell and tiny bit of shine. If you like a clear gloss on your lips this is so much more hydrating — not as shiny but does last awhile! I'd put this on as a base layer then add the gloss! Highly recommend any of their chapsticks - if you get one you know you're getting a good product! I posted before and after applying!
I have odd allergic reactions to lip balms especially those that have any sort of mint in them. This is one of the only balms I use! I've been using it since I was in high school. And no matter what new balm I try I always end up coming back to this!
good protection for your lips. Keeps them soft
I have been a loyal customer of this brand for many years. Why did you add sweetener??? this was the main reason I LOVED this chapstick. Please go back to the way it was. You ruined a good thing. I would have given it 5 stars before, but now its just like any other sweet chapstick.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Chapstick should have heeded this old adage with respect to their Moisturizing (blue tube) chapstick. The “New” stuff has an unpleasant stickiness where the old formula was silky smooth, and ends up feeling DRY on your lips. It has also been SWEETENED which is pretty disgusting, and has a kind of musty smell. Eeeew! I wish they'd go back to the previous formula!
I've used this specific lip balm for probably 20+ years now, specifically because it didn't have a scent or flavor, and because it didn't have that waxy and oily texture that got lodged on the back of my tongue and in my throat. Something changed to the formula recently and not only is it NOT effective at keeping my lips from getting chapped, it now has all of the traits I've been avoiding all these years that I mentioned above. Unless the old formula comes back, I'm done with it and on the hunt for a new lip balm.
I've bought this for so long, but I cannot anymore. I just picked up a pack tonight, before I opened it, I saw “new formula”, I had to check the ingredients cause I am allergic to beeswax, and since that is a common ingredient in most things, I automatically check every ingredient list. I immediately saw the last ingredient was “white beeswax”, I had to give it to someone else and go back out to purchase the cherry flavor. Really disappointed.
I too have used chap stick for more years than I can remember. The new formula is making my lips peel and I thought something has been making my tongue feel wierd and now I know it's the chap stick. So disappointed, please bring back the old formula.
I've used the original blue chapstick for a long time and hate the new formula. It's far too soft compared to the old formula, so it doesn't stay on my lips for any meaningful amount of time. I don't notice/care about the difference in flavor other reviewers mention, but the product no longer does what I need it to so if the formula change is permanent I'll just have to find something else to use.
