CHI makes great quality consumer products. It's quieter compared to the Conair Tourmaline Dryer and dries just as fast. The longer cord is a plus, but it only has two speeds which is not a big deal.
My mother was given this because her old drier broke. She had me try it out because she told me I was going to love it. The drier dries fast, quietly, and accurately.The best parts of the product was that when my hair was mostly dry, the drier was able to dry my hair without leaving my ends looking like straw. Also, my hair looked much healthier after using it because my hair was softer, shinier, and I didn't need to put oil at the ends of my hair to make them look healthy (that was a big deal). I feel like this drier is the best kept secret. I'm hoping I get one as a gift from my parents. When I first tried the strongest speed I thought it wouldn't be enough since I am used to a lot of sound and heat hitting my hair.The ceramic and comb help target the heat to the hair. I felt like I was somehow saving energy because I have very long hair and this blow drier allows me to dry my hair in 10 minutes or less instead of 30 minutes (revolutionary). P.S. After using the blow drier, I went out on a rainy day and my hair did not frizz or curl, and my hair is naturally thick and very curly. With my normal blow drier I don't last 30 seconds in the rain and that is with and umbrella. With the Chi, I didn't need an umbrella or a hat.
Me and my friend are Hairstylists so I used her dryer on my hair. It dried faster and is less damaging on the hair. I recommend this for Hairstylists as well as every day on once a week home use. Love it...Love it!!!
This worked fine as long as it lasted. It's light and dried my hair quickly enough, but this only went on for about 5 months and then the heating started to fail. This isn't the first time CHI has failed so soon, which is why I'm quitting on chi products for good. I can't believe I chose this over the Karmin salon pro hair dryer which my stylist recommended but I preferred chi because it's a bigger brand name :(
