My 7month old is super curious, but sometimes doesn't like when we are out of site. I have really loved the urban for the ability to face him out when he wants to look around, but also face him towards me, when he wants to look around while still making sure I'm near. The best part about that feature, though, is how easy it is to switch back and forth. I also purchased an extra color pack and I love the ability to switch the pieces out (and wash them!) And I also love how high it sits up. My son feels like he's completely sitting up (unlike our Bob, where we can't sit the seat up much more than a slight reclining position)
I love this stroller very easy to use and smooth ride ,baby loves it i even use it aroud the house that how much she loves it also brought the chicco car seat snap right on
I really enjoy this stroller! It is easy to switch between positions of stroller seat and car seat. My daughter loves being on her belly so the bassinet feature is great for her, it's also very classy. I would say I don't like the colors it comes with, babies r us has recently come out with adorable styles of this stroller though! I'm not sure how my daughter will like this as she grows but it's a great for now!
My son is 16 months old now and I am very ready to use a different stroller. While pregnant I was so excited to find this, it was a brand new model and looked great! It test drove great in the store but in real life that was not the case. The front wheels ALWAYS locked on us and for whatever reason our stroller could be very difficult to stear. It's so hard to push it thru doorways in public places because it always Is Getting stuck. My son has used it in all the positions and he seems to be comfortable so I can't say I totally hate it but I would not recommend it to anyone.
I was so excited about this stroller that I bought it when I was only 3 months pregnant. I bought the stroller with the matching keyfit car seat in emerald. I was super excited to try it out. I have been using it for a good three months now and all I can say is that it could be better for the price. The wheels always lock upon opening it which is extremely annoying and they have been squeaking an awful lot. I don't think light use for only three months warrants this. Also, it is very hard to open the stroller. I need both hands and I have to pull on it in an awkward way; very hard to do for two parents with bad backs. Overall, it is really cute and I really wanted to be in love with this stroller but I think there is room for improvement on Chicco's part.
For a stroller that espouses versatility, where's the parent console and the kid tray? Also, not much padding under the seat; I could feel the cross bars. In the flat position (which is the only real boon to this stroller, IMO) it must be very uncomfortable for the child. Also, when child is older, riding upright, it would be uncomfortable for long days at a park or zoo. For the price, it doesn't even come with the car seat. I wish strollers are more like they used to be in the late 1990's and early 2000's. I want functional more than fashion. Besides, I'm not a fan of the blacks and grays popular lately. I'll keep looking...
This stroller is so big and bulky. I don't know why it's called Urban. I live in NYC and do not feel comfortable taking this stroller out on my own bc it feels really heavy to me whether you have the pram or car seat installed. We have to go up 2 flights of stairs just to get to the subway platform (no elevator at my stop) and I feel like we block the stairs completely; people can barely slink past us when my husband and I carry it on either end. I've thought about trying to collapse the stroller and carry it up on my own, but that would be a huge struggle as well. When I take the bassinet out, I can't carry it by just the handle bar bc of the way it's angled, my baby would be upside down, so I'd need to use 2 hands just for that. The car seat isn't easy either because then I have to carry the car seat and the car seat adapter up the stairs with the stroller! (The manual says not to fold it with the car seat adapter in.) When I do go to fold the stroller, I need 2 hands to push the buttons on either side of the stroller and then the handlebar clunks down on the dirty nyc streets, gross, or bangs up my legs or feet. And when I pick up the folded stroller, it doesn't stay compactly folded and starts to open. So cumbersome and yet, opening the stroller is a huge hassle as well. The cup holder is pointless too. I had a water bottle in it and when I rolled the stroller from the sidewalk curb to the street, the bottle popped out and fell in a puddle of mud! Like other reviewers noted, the storage basket below is pretty difficult to get stuff in and out of and it doesn't seem to hold very much even though it looks big. The stroller ride does seem smooth, but this is not practical for us. It takes up way too much space in our apt. I've only used it twice and am already looking into buying a different stroller.
As a new mother i registered for this stroller. BIG Mistake. I didn't know allot other then what others told me. And at the time you think you're bringing home an infant and this is great because the car seat that doesn't come with it snaps in. However your baby does grow and soon enough will be sitting up on their own. and there is NO tray for your baby to put food or drink or toys ect. So on trips to market or zoo, walks wherever your baby is now just being able to sit there with nothing or if you do give them food or drink its going to be all over your stroller making a mess. there is a cup holder on the side that the child cannot reach. Besides this HUge inconvenience its hard to collapse and open. The look of this stroller is its only appeal it looks really nice and fashionable, modern. BUT this is not a functional stroller.
I am so upset over this stroller; I purchased it because it looked so modern and sleek and seemed to have great reviews. The stroller is actually terrible - I started using the stroller around the end of March - the tires constantly get stuck or the front tires just lock bc of poor lock placement. You have to bring the carseat adaptor with you or else you won't be able to attach the carseat. And it is just so large that you can't fit though a store with it. The wheels are made from like a plastic material so walking through the city streets and side walks they have been getting all beaten up. It's an average price stroller with below average quality. I would love to take it back; has anyone ever tried too?
I bought thus for my daughter and i have take it.bsck to the store (this will be my second time). Becauae its made out of extremely cheap plastic.. 2 front wheels ALWAYS LOCK ON ITS OWN WHILE PUSHING! 3 u can't fold it while seat is on (which is not good for a small car) 4 it doesnt lock when u fold it down... it sucks becauae i LOVED the idea of the hand warmers and the cover over babies legs. I highly recommend them fixing it with better quality and being able to fold while attached before i buy another one. If your looking for a car seat I highly recommend doing the new kefit toddler one! Much safe and well padded same as the key fit air.
