Recently converted my little one's crib into a toddler bed; the instructions were easy to follow and the finish matches my crib perfectly.
Not hard at all, just takes a little time. Had it in place by nap time and she slept in her new "Big Girl Bed"
Even though this conversion kit was quite hard to find this is wonderful! It works great with my crib and looks awesome :) it was slightly hard to attach due to the screws being a little short. As in only having a few threads that would actually reach, however once we got them to screw together it is very sturdy. I love this as a toddler bed even more then I did as a crib which I didn't think was possible! This is a great buy and completely worth it :)
Debated if I should spend $50 to buy this but I'm glad I did. The Jamestown furniture is so nice so I wasn't ready to replace it. The conversion kit was easy to install and it looks great. Everyone who's seen my daughter's room loves it and so do I. I thought about just buying the cheaper white plastic bed rail but this was the way to go.
I had purchased the Jamestown crib for my granddaughter when she was born, and she was ready for the bed to be converted to a toddler bed. She really loves it.
Easy to install and it matched the crib perfectly. Only complaint is price seems high as it's more than 1/4 the price of the entire crib.
I think it makes the bed look great bt I thnk it was to much money for a little piece when the crib alone was a only almost 200$.
This kit was needed to convert a crib to a toddler bed other wise I would not have purchased it. It seems a bit over priced at fifty dollars for two pieces of wood. But when you need something, you buy it. It is doing the job that it was intended to do. I do not have any problems with the two pieces of wood.
I purchased the actual crib without problems over two years ago. Now that my child needed a toddler bed, I finally bought the conversion kit. All went smoothly until I needed to install the last piece (the part that makes it the toddler bed). The screws that came with the bed did not fit. I tried many ways and many times, however, nothing worked. I will have to go to a hardware store to see if I can get the three extra screws I need to fit the bed. So for now the toddler piece is just a decorative board leaning against my wall.
I bought this beautiful crib 1 1/2 years ago. My daughter is now ready for her "big girl" bed and is really excited. I can't find anywhere that is selling this piece. I have seen the chocolate and the white, but I have the chestnut and it wouldn't go with my nursery. I bought this with the promise that I would be able to convert it into a toddler bed when I was ready and that I wouldn't have to spend the extra money buying a toddler bed later. Now I am very disappointed I cant find the piece I need I think they are phasing them out and I might have to go buy a toddler bed.
