My son and our family just love this board game!I was looking for some indoor board game for my son as he is missing his school and getting bored at home in this COVID season! But now we have added this game in our daily activity routine and this is also helping him in learning numbers, the feelings of losing and winning by this game. I personally love the slides in this game instead of snakes which I use to play in my childhood days! Highly recommended for all age groups!!
my hubby plays this game with our 4 year old. she is learning to count and this makes it fun.
Nostalgic memories with this game. I love that it's the same as I remember from being little
This is a Classic game I played as a kid,and still is fun. New board is to small and hard to put the people on the squares but still fun to go up the ladders and down the slides trying to get to the end and win. You will go back sometimes but its about having fun and teaching kids how to play a game. Comes with a spinner and 3 people.
We love this game! I will start with the only problem...there are 3 player pieces not 4! Other than that the game is great! All the pieces are sturdy and colorful. The arrows are are easy to follow on the board. The box is a small rectangle instead of a long rectangle so easy to store.
Chutes/Snakes and Ladders is a classic game for teaching young kids numbers up to 100, and basic game-play (taking turns, dealing with bad luck, etc. etc.). Snakes and ladders wasn't in stock so I bought this game instead. Can't go wrong with it... right? Well the board is so cluttered with cartoons it's hard to see the squares. Worse, the squares are just different shades of green, with no black borders so they would be a little hard to see even without cartoons. I drew back lines on it myself with a thin permanent marker and it is way better now. For young kids playing their first board game, its very confusing. Once our Xmas bills are paid, I will still be buying Snakes and Ladders to replace this. Also good to know is that it comes with spinner instead of a dice. The spinner works better for little hands, but kids do need to learn dice eventually.
Was dissapointed. The spaces are very hard (especially for younger kids) to tell apart. Just slight variance in a shade of green between each space. It was hard to tell what was what
The game board squares are 2 shades of very close greens. Toddler had issues telling them apart. Contrast should be more striking so that their eyes can see the difference.
Wow I am so surprised this game got alnost 5 stars in reviews. Apparrntly those who gave it 5 stars never had an original game. 1) Squares are TOO small for the movers and two tokens simply cannot occupy one square. Even one token is too big for one square. 2) Numbers are TOO small for a child's eye and even for a grown ups eye. 3) Arrows pointing the direction are hard to see In a nutshell, it is too hard to differentiate one square from another, one number from another. I do not know why Hasbro chose to downsize this classic game THAT BAD, but they obviously went too far on this one. I do love the colors and graphics on the classic vintage version of it. I am returning this game because it is completely impossible for a child to spot anything on it.
Awful. Just awful. The gameboard is so visually chaotic, it's difficult to play. As an adult, I struggled to navigate the board. My child was completely overwhelmed and shut down. Such a waste of money and time.
