I have used Clairol natural Instincts for over ten years. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't what to use permanent color. I receive compliments often about how beautiful my hair color is. I have gray that the Clairol colors a soft strawberry blond.
I have been using this color for a little while and I love it! It is the prefect shade of red. It does come out as a bright cherry red almost when first done but fades into a beautiful deep auburn color(my hair was a medium to dark brown originally). I was having difficulty finding it in stores so I was excited to find it and order it from walmart.
This is the perfect shade, for me! I am so happy that Clairol brought it back! I used to use Cinnamon Stick, (medium warm brown,) but the color was darker than I wanted it to be. Sedona Sunset is a lovely, natural looking reddish brown shade. It's definitely a "warm" toned red, so if "cool" shades like Cinnaberry don't suit you, you should definitely give it a try! I hope it sticks around permanently, this time. :)
I wanted 22 cinnaberry. They no longer have it (although they try and pass 5R as the former cinnaberry but it's NOT, it's just brown) so I bought 23R raspberry. It's really bright! It's way more shocking and unnatural than I would like but seeing as it's a non permanent I would rather start out extreme and have it tone down than not be bright enough to begin with. I started my journey with light brown hair, I dyed my hair wirh L'Oréal red penny and it came out horrible! It was an ugly coral brown candy orange so I used color oops to strip the color and dyed with the 23R raspberry. I am happy with the results even though I was looking for a more natural lighter look, I think it will tone down and lighten up. The smell is not harsh, it didn't damage my hair any further, lots of conditioner was nice. My hair is bra strap length and thick. I would advise on 3 boxes instead of two. Usually I can get by with 2 but with this I would suggest 3. All in all very good product.
I use this religiously!! I am 54 and have some stubborn grays right in front and after applying this color, not only is my hair more manageable but it feels healthier! Covers the gray nicely and love the conditioner that comes with it! I would not buy any other!!
Your hair will look fantastic and extremely natural. The ease of use is only matched by the true color. It doesn't strip the hair of it's natural beauty. Thanks for a product that delvers true color without harsh chemicals. I recommend this product to anyone who wants gentle coloring.
15RG was a color I used for years and years. Then about 2 1/2 years ago the powers that be at Clairol decided to discontinue it. I was fortunate to find 2 years worth elsewhere but that was it. I had two months of using different brands that totally messed up my hair then learned that the color was back again. I love the color and am so happy it is back. Now I need Walmart to carry it in the store for me. PLEASE.
For reference: I bleached/lightened my hair before using this. My original hair color is black and was bleached to an orange/brown. This is a semi-perm dye; it only stains your hair and WILL NOT LIGHTEN IT. PROS: - vibrant color - smells pleasant - very easy to use - great conditioner (de-tangles hair and leaves it silky) - a lot of product (enough for thick/thin hair mid-way down the back or shorter) CONS: - hard to wash out (it takes 3-4 washes before the dye washes out) - small conditioner (compared to other semi-perm dyes, the conditioner was tiny) BEST FOR... - individuals with natural or pre-lightened dirty blonde - light brown hair (anything lighter will be too red; anything darker won't show) - individuals who wash their hair less than 4x a week (the color will last longer)
I have always liked the Clairol products & especially this shade. It's looks so natural & b/c it is non-permanent hair color, it doesn't give your hair that "dyed" look! But on the downside of ordering this online, is why Wal-Mart couldn't have shipped it to the closest Wal-Mart to me so I could have picked it up INSTEAD of having to pay almost $7 in shipping!!!!
I had blonde highlighted hair with brown smudge root but wanted a fun change during the Coronavirus. Thought this would be like a light auburn but this is not light and its brighter and more red than box displays. Its semi permenant so itll wash out but Iâd prefer a LIGHT red. Just an fyi because the box says LIGHT auburn.
