I have finally found my everyday eyeshadow. Strawberry Fudge is a perfect eyeshadow for wearing everyday wear. I have blue eyes and fair skin. It has a really natural look with a bit of sparkle I pair it with a charcoal eyeliner which makes my eyes pop!
This pair of neutral-yet anything but boring!-earth-toned eyeshadows makes for a decidedly dynamic duo! With just enough shimmer to add definition and allow the colors to really pop, the silky smooth and oh-so blendable ivory shade is a perfect base for any other eye products to follow-never chalky-looking or heavy as some lighter colors are prone to be-while the gorgeously-glam "like mink" selection is equally suitable for eyelids or as a contour to a deeper-toned lid choice. Whether applied subtly or boldly, these discretely-shimmered shadows add interest and light to the eye area in their always Clinique-style gentle, but durable, manner.
I have green eyes...I also have dry sensitive eyes and much like most Clinique products their shadows have lovely pigmentation but they don't upset your eyes if some makeup does. If you have green eyes this is a lovely color palette. The shadow is creamy but not overpowering. I do tend to use my own makeup brushes versus the foam brushes included is the only feedback.
I struggle with finding eye shadows from Clinique that are suitable for me at the age of 66. They are all far too shimmery. They were great when I was a lot younger - I think it's time Clinique started to offer makeup for our age group.
I love this eye shadow. I have used it for many years, and Ivory Bisque/Bronze Satin is my everyday go-to color. But where has it gone??? Please don't take that color away!! This is a true Clinique staple item and color, and if it is gone, I might just have to break up with Clinique. I'm so sad!! Please bring it back! And why are there only 7 duo shades now?? What are y'all doing to us?! I would give this 5 stars, but with the dwindled color selection it only get 3.
Ive been using Clinique for years and never had any problems until the last year. The eyeshadows crumble when you try to put on applicator brush. The last two times this has happened. Does not last long on eye lid as well. I will not bw using this any more.
Uptown/Downtown shadow is exactly what I was seeking, not matte but just a hint of subtle shimmer. Sheer for a natural look. Only 2 stars because online shopping was terrible. The website should indicate whether shades are matte/shimmer or sparkle; whether are colors warm or cool; it should have larger product photos of every shade; it should show a swatch of every color on human skin. There's amateurs all over Instagram/youtube providing this information about various makeup brands... why can't Clinique? The product photo shows a brush on one end of the applicator. What I received was 2 foam tips; no brush. I'd shop Clinique online more if the website had more accurate product information.
I have been using the shade Uptown Downtown for years and now it's gone. One customer service rep says it's being repackaged, another just says it's out of stock and no idea when it'll be back. This is the same thing that happened with the Smoke and Mirrors palette. It's like Clinique is doing away with anything that is not a brownish shade. Why does it seem all of the grays are being removed? And yes, I've used the Blackberry Frost duo, but I'm allergic to purples. :(
The description says mauve/plum and that seems to match the color of the picture online but the actual coloring is lavender and dark purple. Not what I was expecting. I thought I accidentally ordered the wrong thing but it's just off from the picture. I do like Clinique eye shadow though and it works well as a shadow. I just wish the color was more like what I see online.
Colour in picture is nothing like the colour I received even though it is marked as the said colour. I can not wear this.
