I consider myself a "lipstickaholic". My collection has it all, at least it did until I discovered this lipstick in Plum Pop. I have fair skin and blonde hair, and it goes with everything in my wardrobe. It has a smooth, non-sticky texture that lasts and does exactly what its name says - pop!
I have the color "Bare" Pop, and I am in LOVE. Perfect for every day use and very flattering. It is extremely moisturizing and doesn't make my lips crack or peel. I have fair skin and hazel/brown eyes. Neutral skin undertones. Brown hair. This color is perfect. It looks like my lips, but better. I think it would look pretty on any skin tone
I originally received Passion Pop as a sample, but didn't try it right away. It's a red shade, and I usually go with a more natural look. I picked it up recently by accident when I was in a hurry and WOW! Talk about pop! I have ivory skin and dark blue eyes, and this shade is magical. I've started wearing a light layer for video calls when I need to feel confident that I look my best. I absolutely recommend trying Passion Pop whether your skin is light or dark, because I think it would be flattering for all. Love Pop is beautiful, too, and a little more natural for my coloring. I just bought both shades again so I will have an extra of each.
The color is a neutral tan for me who is moderately fair. The Bare Pop lipstick goes on smoothly and no issues with lips being dry later. The finished look is a shimmery mica whose color is hard to describe but could be a slight silvery tone. Got compliments from a younger co-worker who said she couldn't figure out if I was wearing lipstick or not due to the shade is very natural, yet she noticed that the lips looked "shimmery". I like it and would purchase again.
I received a complimentary Plum Pop shade with my first purchase. I mean first and foremost you cannot beat free, although I typically steer clear of lipsticks. Well, as with pretty much everything else, Clinique has changed my mind. This is my absolute favorite shade, I love the matte look, and it looks pretty spot on with my natural lip color. Helping to accentuate my natural lip color seamlessly. I am now a proud lipstick wearer. It definitely has no funny taste either when I am sipping my coffee in the mornings after having made myself up. I also can actually kiss my husband with it on, and he does not complain about it tasting funny or it leaving a waxy film on his lips. Which he is very vocal about with other products! Brave Clinique, you have a customer for life.
I got the cherry pop as a freebie with a purchase, and I really love it. I already have some red lipsticks that I love, so I wasn't too excited about it, but once I tried it I totally changed my mind. It goes on very smoothly, and it doesn't dry my lips out at all. It stays pretty well, even for such a strong color (though you will probably want to reapply at some point during the day for full color - I don't use a lip liner with it, though, so it's pretty good all things considered). The one really nice thing about it, at least in my experience, is that even when it fades, it tends to fade evenly. It doesn't leave a weird ring around the edge of your mouth or anything. I love the feel of it, and I'm looking forward to getting some more colors!
I am not usually one for bold color lipsticks. I had been staying in my comfort zone of pink/natural colors for my lips. I got the Cherry Pop and the Love Pop recently and InLOVE them. The finish is definitely satin, it smooths my lips and I almost never use chapstick any more. The Cherry Pop is my new favorite bold red lipstick. I love it! ♥️
I like my lipstick to be nice and smooth and moisturizing, unfortunately this lipstick misses that mark. That being said, I wouldn't say that this lipstick is necessarily drying either. I received a free sample of this in two colors, Love Pop and Plum Pop. I really love both colors a lot, though they don't really look much like the colors shown on the Clinique website. Especially Love Pop seems to be much brighter than shown on the site. Overall I enjoy the colors and will probably wear these on occasion but I'm not sure I'd purchase them due to the lack of moisture.
I received the nude pop colour as a gift with purchase but the colour was much more pinky than I was expecting. It does go on nicely and leaves the lipstick feeling hydrated. Not exactly super longwearing but not bad. Would buy in another shade in the future
I have used clinique lipsticks and decided to try their new one. First off the only thing going for it is the color, it doesn't last long at all and I need to reapply it constantly it smears and rubs of easily. Take a drink from a straws and most of it is left on the straw. Long lasting or different lipsticks are so much better. P.S. I even used a lip primer and it's still the same.
