Does the job of showing accurate time. What else is there to say.
After spending a lot of money on more expensive outdoor clocks --only to have them not work very long, I decided to buy a cheaper clock and just replace it more often. This is a great clock and an even better $ value. The Walmart online order added to the experience because it was so easy to order & pick up.
I bought this outdoor clock online because I couldn't find one anywhere in the rural area where I live. I wanted something big that I could see from my pool, but I didn't want to spend a lot because the sun here is brutal and the clocks I have purchased in the past normally don't last more than two years. This clock is perfect and a great value for the price.
Our neighborhood pool needed a new clock and I said I would pick one up. I searched Lowes, Home Depot, Target and Walmart with no luck. Everything was too fancy and too expensive. I found this clock online and it not only is EXACTLY what I was looking for, but it also was a great price. Ship to Store meant no additional shipping costs and I knew it would be there when I went to pick it up.
Have used this model clock for 15+ years. Only complaint is that Florida heat/sun turns face and case yellow after a few years. Especially for the price, I do not mind replacing it when badly yellowed. I like the size and have a matching thermometer. When new, it looks great. A few years later when yellowed, it looks shabby. Would recommend it.
For the money, you get what you pay for. It's a basic plastic wall clock, but after looking it over, not sure how it will withstand any sort of outdoor weather like rain despite it claiming to be an outdoor clock. We have it mounted outside by our swimming pool, so that is what was needed. I would think this clock should be closer to $9 in price given what you get, but unfortunately, it was one of the cheapest we could find for the purpose.
I needed an inexpensive outdoor clock that I could mount in a somewhat protected area near the pool with large enough numbers that I could see from a distance. And this clock is it. Out of the box the sweeping second hand would bump the minute and hour hands so I had to pop the plastic cover off and do some adjusting. But I wasn't expecting fine Swiss craftsmanship for what I paid so I am satisfied. Since that adjustment, a couple of weeks have gone by with wind, rain and snow and it has kept perfect time.
I was looking forward to having a patio clock. So, I looked around and, since this is a seasonal item, most stores, including Walmart were out of it. So, I went on-line. I had the clock for a total of 2 days. In that time, it didn't work right once. I kept changing the battery, hoping that it was the battery. Very cheap construction. Ended up buying a digital clock at Big 5. I returned the junk clock to Walmart, but lost the $5 shipping charge.
When I picked my clock up the second hand was loose and the associate pulled the face off and repaired it. She told me that if it didn't work I could return it, however those things sometimes happened in shipping. The clock worked for about 5 days. I will be returning the clock!
I bought this clock to use on the patio for my pool. Never even got a chance to use it. I put a new battery in and left it sit on the table for a few hours to see if it kept time (I read in a few reviews that there was trouble with this). It kept time perfectly. Well when I wanted to hang it, it wouldn't work. The gears would stop and the second hand would just stop moving. It seems that when the clock was in an upright position, the gears wouldn't move. I am taking it back to the store. I am highly disappointed. I am in need of a patio clock but don't want to spend a ton of money. It seemed like a good deal but it's very cheaply made. I wouldn't waste your money or time on this one as you will most likely just be returning it.
