I was pleasantly surprised by the HD picture quality this TV of $149 delivered. It also appears quite larger than you think a 23" screen would look like. The sound is a bit "tinny" but the features it has to make adjustments are impressive. I would definitely buy another.
For what it cost, and the brand name, I was looking for something to hate about this TV, but so far I can't do it!!! good picture, great remote, base tilts, lots of features, sound not the worst. This was a cheap upgrade for the garage, and it fits like a glove. But will it last?
I would definately recommend this tv to any one. The picture is crystal clear, the sound can be heard, it only has one HDMI input, but it also has the jacks for all the other cords (RED<WHITE<YELLOW). I paid 119.00 for it so this tv was much better then the 2 sceptures I purchase before.and they cost 139.00 each. It also has the cable hook up, so you can use as a tv or computer screen. As I said I would definately recommend this tv to anyone.
Was wondering what the tv would be like because the price seem too good to be true. I have to say not bad! The picture has to be adjusted. The sound isn't excellent but better than I expected. Great tv for the price. If you want a better sound you may want to get speakers but I think the sound isn't too disappointing.
TV is an excellent value for a widescreen LED TV and I enjoy it every day. I use it near my computer to keep up with news and the size is perfect for the small table it's on. Everything is great about it except the sound which was not good at all, so I went to my Walmart nearby store and purchased some inexpensive Logitech speakers and now the sound is great. I also purchased the Walmart extended warranty with the TV and at about $8.00 per year it is a bargain too.
I thought by looking at it in the ad that it was bigger than it was, it was just too small. I returned it immediately and got a bigger size. It seemed better to be used as a PC monitor than a TV. I guess as a TV it had great color and everything, the sound was good, but it reminded me of a 13 inch tv you put in a kitchen, not for a bedroom or guest bedroom.
This TV is as expected though I do not like the delayed reactions when turning off and on and changing channels. I use this TV for my surveillance and dvd's so not a big deal. If you are a channel flicker then beware.
Some times I have to re-set (unplug) due to when I turn it on whith the remote control it blocks out. It takes about three seconds to "come on" after I press the botton "ON" either on the TV or remote control.
DISH remote couldn't be programmed to Coby TV. Great price but too aggravating to use 2 remotes-- returned and bought a different brand.
After the initial hook up, there was no power. I had to call the 1-800# for help. It worked that evening, but the same thing happened the next evening. I again called for help. After going through several steps with no positive results, it was suggested I return the item. I don't think I will be buying any Colbys anytime soon.
