This is super strong epoxy, that repair almost anything. A 'must have' item for anyone who can fix a child's toy or a household item.
I'm happy with this purchase. I watched a product comparison on YouTube and this 2-part JB Weld epoxy was top rated. I used it to reattach a metal water faucet spigot to a metal pipe fitting that had the threads mostly stripped out. It worked great!!! No more leaking there. This version was the 4-hour set time but there's also a quicker 6-minute set time version for the same price.
I have a writing tool called a Neo2. Dandy little keyboard device, runs on three AA batteries. You can't buy them new, they were discontinued years ago. The negative battery terminal snapped off on mine. I shimmed it for a while which worked, but I knew I'd have to apply a permanent fix at some point. That point arrived this past weekend, when every time my device got moved, it would lose power. The solution, of course, was J-B Weld. Mind you, my fix looks more like mud daubing, but hey, it works, it's solid, and now I can write with my Neo again.
I have been using this fix-it product for years as it glued things in all sorts of situations. I keep buying more and putting it aside for when the occasion arises I have it on hand
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stuff works extremely well. I used it for some of my crafts that I'm working on. It worked well to lay tile in a miniature house and it was easy to use. The process is fairly easy as you just mix the two together. It takes about 3 to 3 hours to set and about half a day to cure, so don't use whatever you're working on until it's very cures.
This stuff is amazing for what it does. Even though I misread the cure time to be the 4-6 hour set time it still took a while before the adhesive showed signs of melting from the 200C wire in the toaster. After realizing my mistake I tried it again and it was night and day the difference. Was still unaffected after 5 minutes of hot nichrome wiring though did produce a disgusting burning smell while heating which just amazes me on the heat resistance. One down side I found while using it is that it is extremely brittle once cured so after a while (without heat) the crudely bent nichrome wires would pop out. This was solved by just applying more.
I have used this epoxy for decades. Repaired gas tank leaks, kids toys, fine collectables, yard decorations, you name it. There isn't much that it wont stick to. I always try to have it on hand. I've tried the quick dry stuff too, but the original is the epoxy to use.
My little canopy bed had a major piece of the frame that had come loose. I needed something strong to hold the piece in place. I needed something similar to welding but not requiring equipment I do not have like a torch. My cousin reminded me of JB Weld. I know that my cousins and brothers have had success with this product. I am currently in the process of repairing the frame. So far it holds great. Time will tell if it actually holds. But from my other family members experience I beleive it should work great.
Sure nice not having to run to store & finding out they don't have enough - especially when you need a large quantity. JB Weld is great for all of those field repairs out in the desert.
Jb weld has come in handy for me countless times around the house. From arts and crafts to patching random things back together. I will mention I do like this kind (slower dry) better than the quick dry jb due to the quick dry will dry quicker than I can work sometimes. And if you get some of the slower dry on your finger more of a chance of washing it off at least more of it off. I have used both and both do work good.
