For those of you who enjoy the benefits of tent camping, but don't like the heat--this is a great little fan to use. It pulls the cool air in at night--the breeze is so much better than stagnant humid air!!. The magnets are very strong and attach to the tent window. Much easier to install with 2 people!!! It runs on 6 batteries, so depending on what level you run your fan and how long you stay, bring extras-you might need them. It ran all night for us on low and still is going strong.

Great fan, only on high it vibrates & hums different pitches periodically. Brings in cool air, love that it hangs on window screen of tent so you can place it up high. Works well.

Claustrophobic

This fan really works great. I was really expecting it to be so so but I was impressed. It circulated the air so I never felt claustrophobic and slept quite well. It does make noise but not loud. The magnets are strong. The battery life was about as long as they claim. I took extra ones just in case.

Coleman innovation

Purchased as a "backup to the backup" where some air-stirring is needed to keep comfortable while parked, or camping in the back country overnight. For use when not wanting to run down batteries for larger DC fans or overnight. Works as advertised and runs through a couple of nights of sleeping on 6 D cell batteries.

So surprised

This turned out to be a great fan. What I like best about it is that the blades are made of foam, so there is no risk to kids. While it doesn't provide an insane amount of breeze, it did create enough to be comfortable during the heat of the day. Depending on the size of your tent and where you place it, it does a good job, particularly if you are seated close to it. I totally recommend it. Coleman really does make great innovated camping gear.

Using it for Power Outages

t's not quite what I expected but it gets the job done. I suppose you have to sacrafice quality for saftey with this product. The fan blades are made of foam. I don't consider them durable fan blade. Being that the fan is meant for camping... It will save your childrens fingers from being cut/ hurt. It seems that rigid blades would move more air and keep you cooler. Being that this is the ONLY battery operated fan I could find, I give it a 4. It will work well enough during a power outage and thats all I needed.

We used this 2 ways with the tent. First, to suck out the hot air. Second, changing from inside to outside, to blow air in during the night. Very powerful.

Didn't meet my expectation.

The product title says it all. After bringing the product home, I noticed the blade of the fan was smaller than expected. I went ahead and put batteries in it and tried it out. As I expected, it wasn't giving me the "blow" power I wanted. When looking at the picture, I figured the fan blade was bigger than the real thing. It does do the job of sucking air through my tent window, but again, not as much as I wanted it too. Overall, it was okay product but if you expect it to help circular the air in your tent...I wouldn't purchase this. If you want little air to be blown directly on you to keep you cool, this unit is for you. I personally camp a lot and would have preferred a bigger fan blade.

Nice idea, poor quality

I used it once and it worked great. Second time I used it the switch died. Or the motor died, not sure which. A shame, because I like the design idea. I have had other Coleman products break quickly, but breaking on the second use is a new record! I'd pay more for Coleman products if I thought they'd last! Otherwise, they haven't reached a price that justifies being disposable.
