for the price it is a good value
This is our second set , we liked them so much we bought a set for my wifes bike
Fits great on my motorcycle
Fits great on my older bike, zipper a bit stiff but gives me a lot of space great value for the money!
Lots of room for items. Weather resistant. Best deal for the price. Only one of the zippers goes every 2 years. But I wouldn't replace it with anything else.
These bags are a real bargain. They fit nicely on my Honda Magna and don't look too cheap. I am not crazy about the "Paul Jr." branding, but a black sharpie covered up the red stamp very well.
I am using these saddle bags on my KLR650 Enduro. It's not really that important what they look like because this bike gets ridden on dirt roads a lot. They seem to be about the right size and fit the bike well. There was nothing else available in this price range. They are a good value and seen to perform up to my expectations.
I have been satisfied with these bags up until recently when I tried to stuff too much into one of the bags and the zipper separated. After having them on my 750 Honda Nighthawk for most of a year they have faded from black to gray, but they are easy to put on and take off and hold a change of clothes on one side and a six pack on the other. Hey, they cost less that the online sites and the quality is OK.
After searching online for saddlebags at the usual places: Joe Rocket - none, local shops - limited choices and high prices, and Ebay - nothing cheap, I remembered some Paul Jr. stuff I had seen at Walmart in store. I bought these in store after going and taking another look. Finding a set of bags that would work on a Ninja is difficult due to the high slanted pipes - one on each side. I found 3 boxes on the shelf, but all looked pretty beat up and taped shut, so I wondered if maybe they were all returns. I checked one of the boxes and found everything there that was listed in the contents. I paid 54 dollars with tax. So far, and this is without riding, the fit seems pretty good. I had to take up ALOT of slack to get these bags a good 3-4 inches off the pipes. I also ran the seat straps UNDER my seat because I doubt I'll be taking the on and off that often and being under a locked seat makes me feel a bit better too. They aren't quite aero-shaped like the bigger priced brands, but they are roomy. With a tank bag and backpack to boot, I'm set. I will say that I doubt highly that they won't fade after a year's worth of riding and I wonder what type of stress those stiches can handle, but hey...for $50 and locally found, I can live with this.
I have not yet used these bags, but they do appear to be well made and have nice features. They also seem like they will be equally suited to my different bikes. Remaining questions are if they will get into the back wheel on a monoshock setup, or if they will take muffler heat.
