Being from southeast Louisiana, Community Coffee is everywhere. I was having it shipped in from Louisiana for the past several years or stocking up when I when down to NOLA for a visit. Thank you Walmart for having this available here in Louisville.
I've been drinking Community Coffey since the ‘70s, and have NEVER lost the desire to continue! I first started drinking “dark roast”, but recently tried Cafe roast (medium to dark roast), and LOVED it! I will ALWAYS be a Community Coffee drinker!
I have been buying Community Coffee online for a few years now and have tried almost all of their coffees. I have not been disappointed by any of them. They are all good quality, they're fresh and they have great flavor. And the shipping is fast.
In all our years of coffee drinking (40+) this is by far the smoothest, least bitter, and most flavorful coffee we've ever had. Kind of pricey, but from the first cup on, we've found it's truly worth every penny. With every other coffee, my wife has to put cream in to cut the bitterness; not so with Community Coffee Cafe Special! It's the first she's ever been able to drink black, and enjoy! Try it, I think you'll agree!
I how've been drinking community Coffee for about 30 years, in the early days could only buy out of an catalog “The art of food” from community kitchens , the actually had a “ rice club” where you could sample different rice on a monthly basis , but now I can buy my community coffee at local grocery stores, my favorite is “ cafe , medium roast , espresso is also very good, very smooth, very good “ finish “ almost like merlo wine ! I real cup of coffee that you could really appreciate if you were sitting on side of a “ river bank” eating one of those “white powder donuts” Very happy John North ga Mtn's
I enjoyed the first cup surprisingly in a hotel room single cup pod coffee machine t. It was good one of the best i've tasted & im a coffee lover.
Once you smell the aroma, then actually taste it...you are hooked!
Let's say it is 25 years ago, and you go to the store and buy a red bag of Community Coffee, no fancy grinds, roasts, names, flavors, etc., just the famous, and nearly ubiquitous coffee in Lake Charles, LA. It's great, brewed at home, or in cafes and restaurants and gas stations. Now, back to today. Is this supposed to be the same, exact blend, roast, and grind? If not, which one sold today is the same as the old red bag? Or is it like Coca Cola, where you have to get the Mexican Cokes for the true recipe? Don't know. It is a nice coffee, but sometimes these things matter.
I ordered Folgers K pods. I received Community coffee for a coffee maker. Somebody really wasn't paying attention to my order when they were gathering it.
Grew up on dark roast chicory. Tried this looking for one that isn't bitter because I'm not using sugar anymore. Can't even smell it brewing! . It's bitter and flat with only a burnt taste. Guess they've focused on all the flavored types now. I'm looking for one to enjoy with only cream. This isn't it. So much for Community. Tastes like cheap convenience store coffee! I'm a daily, sometimes three times a day coffee drinker.
