After searching for a replacement for a computer desk that was falling apart, I settled on this set. Offering more surface space and a separate printer cart, it was a bargain at $99.00! Enlisting the help of my son, we methodically went about putting it together. All the materials were included and well labeled and after a couple of read troughs, we were able to follow the directions with minimal difficulties. In all it took us about 2 hours to complete both pieces. And I am more than pleased with the final result!
Great desk for small space. Was able to assemble pretty easily, eventhough I am not used to performing those tasks. Make sure you sort out parts before you begin to make sure they are all there. Also, pay close attention when they tell you to make sure the holes face a certain way. Remove little round number tags before you put glass on the desk.
My package arrived on time and was in excellent shape. There was no broken glass or missing parts. Both the desk and printer stand were easy to put together but I did need someone to hold one side briefly before I flipped the desk over. I am very satisfied with it and may order another for my son.
Took about 2 hours including sorting and checking off each part 1st. All parts were included. Very heavy box and good wrapping material. Other reviews were helpful about specific things to watch out for when putting it together. Thanks all! Very sturdy and no problems at all, just give yourself the time. Looks like a much more expensive desk and stand - very modern and an upgrade from our old MDF. The stack, modem, battery and printer are all on the printer stand with room to spare. Tons of room on the desk top for extra's - very large top.
This table is really quite good looking once its assembled. The side table is also very nice and the whole kit looks very upscale and modern. There is also ample room on both the desk and the side table. What was more surprising was the instruction manual to put it all together. I've assembled many furniture throughout my years and this has got to be one of the easiest described manuals. All the parts were labeled nicely and the manual tells you exactly how to put it together. I am very pleased with my purchase and once my 27" iMac comes in a few days, I'm certain it will look awesome with this desk and will compliment each other beautifully. Only downside of having a glass table though is keeping it clean. Other than that, you cannot go wrong with this desk.
I already own this desk, however purchased another as a gift. The desk itself is very stable considering the similarities of materials to other desks within its price range. After two years, while moving, I broke the tempered glass and discovered the glass itself is the cost of the desk, plus a 3 day waiting period anywhere in town. I then replaced the missing tempered glass with a 1/4 inch, may be off on measurement now, birched plywood from Lowes with a cherry stain, giving it a whole new life, looks great.
Nice sturdy furniture - a bargain at the bundle price. The desk is just fine for a student and the cart I am using to set an LCD tv on, the wheels make it so easy to reposition in the room. Both pieces were fairly easy to assemble but I needed a power screwdriver to get some of the metal to metal screws in when putting together the desk.
This is a good desk if you're on a budget and don't have a large space. The only real problem I had a bad wheel on the printer cart (the screw was stripped), but since I don't plan on rolling it around, it wasn't a big deal. The desk and cart were very easy to put together and is a lot sturdier than I expected. A good combo for the price.
At 62 pounds this box was super heavy. I managed to drag it in and assemble it by myself, although the instructions say that they recommend 2 people. I guess I ate my Wheaties. I really had to hunt for the hardware packet. Customer service sent me a replacement and and low and behold i found the pack behind some styrofoam. The is a heap of packing material, I was very happy about that. It took me a few hours, but i worked alone. It is a nice finished product.
I really needed a desk so I bought this one. Lots of reviews said it was hard to assemble. That wasnt my issue. The assembly was simple but the holes absolutely did not fit!!!! Dont buy this.
