I just finished using this foot bath for the first time. I had intended to use the paraffin at the same time, but it takes 1 hr and 45 minutes for the wax to heat up. Some people have complained that the water gets cold to quickly in these foot baths, so I added scalding hot water to it the first time. It was too hot for the first 10 minutes, so I waited for it to cool down. Note: the unit does not heat the water, and it does not keep it warm. You should use water at the temperature that you want it to be when you put your feet in. The water was finally at the right temperature, so I turned on the bubbles. The switch can be turned on with your foot. I was watching television, and the unit makes so much noise, that I had to turn the tv up to full volume. I was not bothered by this, as I was enjoying the sensation the bubbles were giving my feet. After 15 minutes, the water had cooled a bit, but then it was time to take my feet out of the bath. The dry dead skin on my feet was much softer, and I was able to remove quite a bit of it by rubbing my feet. It was nice and relaxing to have this foot treatment. As for the paraffin wax, the unit is small, but you might be able to dip you feet in if you have a size 6 shoe or smaller. I don't have small feet, but I'm going to try it anyway. I am still waiting for the wax to melt, and I'll come back and give a full report.
